Persistent cold calling
Peter Parker of “PPI REFUND DEPARTMENT”
At approx 5.46 pm on 18/05/22, I was with my Father at his home and took a landline phone call. A foreign-accented male called Peter PARKER called me Mr. Riddler ( nobody in this house has that name). He wanted me to give him my bank details inc sort code. I went along with this, he stated the postcode correctly, but I said it was the wrong postcode. He thought he was talking to Mr. Riddler (my Father is 88 years old and not long out of hospital).
He said Mr. Riddler was entitled to £2,572 in PPI compensation ( defiantly, this has not been applied for). I said I wanted to see a hard copy of this so I could decide for myself…he was persistent, and I ended the call. This is not the first time this has happened, and my Father has previously been scammed but does not want to elaborate on this. The callers’ number is 01246958896
I have logged a complaint with Action fraud, and a lot more reporting will be followed up.
