PorchLight Real Estate Group

Horrible Advice

I want to share my nightmare experience with PorchLight Real Estate Group. My PorchLight realtor did a final walk through on a house at 10:30 am on the morning of my scheduled 12:00 noon closing.

There had been a huge rain the night before, and she shared with me that the carpets were “a little damp” but that the house was absolutely fine after the storm.

I trusted her and I spent my life savings to buy the house.

That afternoon, I walked into my new home to find that the basement smelled foul and the carpets were completely saturated with water- they squished when I walked on them.

Why did the agent tell me that the home was fine and why did she want me to buy the house? The damage is many thousands of dollars.

The bottom 3 feet of drywall must be replaced and new flooring must be installed.

PorchLight will assume no responsibility for this.

They actually claim that they did nothing wrong.

It makes me so upset that they profited off of giving me horrible advice.

  1. We ended up right where we wanted to be and could not be more grateful for the support!

We had a great experience with PorchLight while buying our first home in Denver. Jill was patient, helpful and always available to answer our myriad questions.

She was patient with us and took the time to educate us continually throughout the home-buying process. We ended up right where we wanted to be and could not be more grateful for the support!

  2. Great Service Provide

The sales brochure even included a custom made floor plan – this really attracted me to Dina’s other locations initially. We had an offer our first weekend (the weekend of the open house) and lead to successful sale of our house. Very friendly staff and helpful all the way through.

  3. NOT recommended.

I couldn’t agree with you more about the “unethical behavior” of this outfit. I’m glad I had my surveillance cameras on in the house when you (Porchlight) showed it.

I’m sure I got lots of good footage from your “showing” judging by what I walked in on when I came home (like the agent hanging out in the living room while their “clients” are roaming around the house by themselves).

  4. Scammer

  5. Their goal is to find clients and sell their listings.

The agents at Porchlight are quite good however their practices are in question. They are very in favor of open houses, however, if you are used to having your agent hold the open house it will not happen very often. They schedule open houses in increments of two hours with 2 agents per open house. Their goal is to find clients and sell their listings.

They even go so far as to show their competing listings in your neighborhood to all that enter your home. I had multiple items stolen from my home during open houses, which were not in open sight but well-hidden and took time to find, because the agents are most interested in marketing themselves and their properties, rather than protecting your home.

  6. Agent stayed way longer then scheduled time.

Agent stayed way longer then scheduled time. I came home to her and her client sitting on my couch– client had his feet up on my coffee table. There were 3 other members in the party 2 downstairs unattended and 1 milling about in my bedroom. I will never let these agents show my home again. Seriously unethical and unprofessional. Considering filing a complaint with DORA.

  7. Scammer

I have a home listed with Kentwood. I agreed to a showing by Jason Dalbey from Porchlite. He did not come during the agreed showing window. He did not call. I notified my listing agent. She called him. Then she informed me that he was on his way.

He did not leave a business card or a note, as all the other agents have done. I office out of this home as many people do. His discourtesy and disregard for my time means he is not welcome to earn a commission from selling my home. Ballard Pritchett

  9. Avoid this company

Please be advised that the owners of this company did not stand behind me when I unknowingly bought a home with severe flood damage, based on the incompetency of one of their realtors.

This company stands up for their own revenue; they do not stand up for doing the right thing. Avoid this company, and give your valuable business to a company with some integrity.
