Polar Pediatrics
This doctor is absolutely a scam artist and joke.Polar Pediatrics was recommended to me by my daughter in March 2016 when she suffered from earache.
The lady applied a small amount of peroxide to her ears and then pulled out the earwax with tweezers.
I paid for my copay and was soon on my way.
I assumed that she would bill my insurance, which she said she accepted – and that I would be responsible for any remaining.
She called me a few times, and I stated that I owed her only $100.
Yesterday, a collection agency called me to inform me that I owed Polar Pediatrics more than a Grand.
I was stunned. I was told $100 and that all they had was some earwax removal. Did that cost $1200? I also have insurance, and it is good insurance.
Polar Pediatrics isn’t In-Network, as you will see.
My question is whether she accepted United Healthcare did not prompt her to inform me that she was Out of Network.
Yesterday, I called her to discuss the details, pay the $100, and then move on.
Since I didn’t answer her calls last year, I assume she won’t “cut us any deal” anymore, and we will be expected to pay the total amount.
She was insulting and condescending towards me and continued to say that I should have answered her call last August.
I have never received a bill or a notice from collections.
She rudely told me that she does not do business over the telephone.
A paper trail is something I strongly believe in as a business professional. What business doesn’t send a bill to its customers?
I can’t promise enough that she is a quack. I strongly advise against using her as your pediatrician.
