OU Health – University of Oklahom...
HUGE Lack Of Accountability And Time ManagementI was scheduled for an 830am orthopedic surgery on a broken leg.
Initially, I was asked to arrive at 6 am.
They called us the previous day and requested that we arrive by 5 am.
I arrived on time, called the operating room according to instructions, and was informed that a bed would be available at 7:30.
I arrived at the hospital at 7:30, only to be delayed until 11. The surgery did not begin until 1230.
According to some reports, a two-hour surgery took six hours.
No communication. No updates. No explanation.
It wasn’t enjoyable to check at OR Recovery.
The ladies were gossiping, arguing, and commiserating with us, except for telling us why we were moved to six hours later.
Why not just reschedule? We help you understand that anesthesia is late to the party.
Although doctors did visit us to talk with us, they could not leave to make personal calls.
It was so loud that we could hear the whole conversation.
The recovery room called us and asked for our belongings. They promised to return to the room, but they were closing soon.
Poor communication, terrible time management, and accountability.
