Noe Valley Smiles and Braces

Lot of Turnover

It’s been a while and I still have anxiety about Noe Valley Smiles and Braces…

They ended up refunding me the money for that filling and then replaced the filling. I still had pain for about a year and a half (I was too anxious to see another dentist until recently because of this ordeal). They had me see the doctor who owns the practice. I had to come back a few times. He kept pressuring me to update my review. I really didn’t appreciate that…

This practice cares more about the money than its patients. They’re very clinical. In any form of medicine you have to be able to relate to and comfort your patients. The dentist is stressful for a lot of people. Also, I’m not sure that the doctors are happy there, there seemed to be a lot of turnover.

I just want to forget about this place. You should too.

  1. Noe Valley Smiles and Braces Scam.

The staff and procedure were just fine but I feel like the financial part was very unclear and suspicious and they were quick to threaten collections before my procedure was even complete.

  2. I never got a call back.

Ultimately what made our family finally leave NVS&B was a combination of things from scheduling challenges to general bedside manner issues with one of the dentists.

For example, I called today for ANY appointment on a Monday or Saturday for a cleaning for my 5 yo son. They could not accommodate. They said they were booked until next year. Unfortunately this has been our normal experience when scheduling.

  3. My feeling is that they are more concerned with money than my teeth! BEWARE

I went for an initial cleaning and really liked the hygienist who worked on my teeth. The Dr came and and told me my teeth looked really good but then tried to push me into getting a “deep clean” and another procedure. I declined and she wanted to know why. It surprised me that she was so pushy.

When I left that day, I made another appt to fill a cavity and the receptionist told me that I needed to get the “deep clean” first. I told her that I wasn’t going to do the “deep clean” and just wanted to make another appt for my cavity. She asked me to hold on and said she needed to find out if that would be ok with the Dr.

I was thinking in my head… “why wouldn’t that be ok… the dr. said that my teeth look good and they are MY teeth for me to decide what to do with them”. She came back and said ok and while we were setting up my next appt for my cavity, the person next to me was arriving for their “deep clean”. Clearly this “deep clean” is a money maker for them!
