Navy Federal Credit Union

Waste of Time

Navy Federal Credit Union was great when I started going there about nine years ago.

However, I have had many problems with my auto loans this year and have been charged late fees on top of what I should have paid.

Brandon, the company manager, was not available for me to speak with over the phone.

He refused to help me because it wasn’t his problem.

I have switched to a new bank and plan on refinancing my cars through them.

I have never been mistreated, and if I had known that I would be mistreated, I wouldn’t have wasted my time here.

So that they don’t waste their time, I will share my experiences with everyone.

  1. respected that but your staff was very rude and I'll never come back to

I asked if there was an ATM. It was 5:00 in the evening. As a customer, they held the door for us. Two of your staff members, one more giant man, and one more petite woman, felt the need to talk over me because I asked a question.
I didn’t just walk in with a question. As they talked over me, “We are closed” was rude. Then another woman came up to the door and pointed towards the atm. Although we knew that they were closed and respected that fact, your staff was insulting, and I will never return to them.

  2. We have all earned better service than this.

If I could rate 0 stars, it would be. This goes to the Mortgage loan department. The VA had to be involved. They only had two weeks to resolve the problem and refused to review any documentation we provided. I was able to get in touch with a VA representative who solved the problem in minutes. This was something that Navy Federal couldn’t do in days.
Do the groundwork with the VA. It takes USAA 38 days to close a “mega VA loan.” It could be because they don’t have customers.

Our Navy Federal Home Loan representatives informed us that our loan had been repaid twice. Navy Federal San Diego is not a good option for VA home loans. We all deserve better service.

  3. NEVER USE NAVY FEDERAL.

NAVY FEDERAL IS NOT TO BE USEN. They offer terrible loan services. They don’t communicate with their customers at all. Others warned us, but we took the chance. Never again.

  4. Scammer

This bank used to be my best option for a car loan. However, when I tried to purchase a camper from them, the rate was twice what they offered. I don’t know any other banks. I have been with navy fed for 15+ years and had five auto loans at great rates.
Anything, except auto loans, is not the best rate. A 24,000 cash loan would have 13% interest plus their fees. That’s ridiculous. On the personal side, borrowing against a house that you own is 8%. This is with someone who has made all payments on time and paid off early. But wants cash.
