Waste of Time

Navy Federal Credit Union was a great bank when I started going about 9 years ago but this past year I’ve had numerous problems with my auto loans and being charged late fees upon late fees that I shouldnt have been charged.

I spoke with the manager Brandon (he wouldn’t give me his last name) on the phone and he refused to help me in any way because “it wasn’t their problem”.

Ive switched my bank and I plan on refinancing both of my vehicles through them.

I’ve never been treated so poorly and had I known I would be treated so badly I would never have wasted my time coming here.

I will tell everyone I know my experiences here so that they don’t waste their time either.

    A regular bank branch. There always seems to be a long line there.

    If I could give 0 stars, I would. This goes to the Mortgage Loan department. I had to get the VA involved. They had two weeks to fix a problem on their end and would not review documentation that we supplied over and over. I got ahold of a VA rep who fixed the problem in a few minutes, that Navy Federal could not do in a couple of weeks.

    USAA takes (currently 38) days to close on a “mega VA loan”. Maybe it is because they do not have their customers, do the ground work with the VA. Avoid the heartache.

    We were told by our Navy Federal Home Loan reps that we had lost our loan on two seperate occasions. Veteran’s do not use Navy Federal, San Diego for your VA home loan. We have all earned better service than this.

  4. Only good thing I can say is that their financial rates for loans are nice.

    Originally I opened a savings account to save some money by creating a saving account for my child’s future…good idea but bad choice of bank. My account has been opened for 4 months now and 4 months too long, I will be closing it on within a few days and I can’t wait to do so.

    If your looking for a “basic bank,” you will be okay with Navy Fed…as for myself, I don’t like the BS from Navy Fed terrible customer services, hassles, unreasonable bank fees, etc. Only good thing I can say is that their financial rates for loans are nice.

  5. respected that but your staff was very rude and I'll never come back to

    Simply went to ask if there was an atm cause I have never been to this location, it was 5:00 and as a customer came out and held the door open for us, two of your staff, one bigger man and some woman, felt the need to talk over me as I was just trying to ask a question.

    I didn’t walk in just a simple question I had, and as they both talked over me “we are closed” super rude, another woman walked up and held the door and points toward the atm. We already knew they were closed and respected that but your staff was very rude and I’ll never come back to


    NEVER USE NAVY FEDERAL. They do not communicate at all with their customers. Horrible Loan service. We were warned by others but took our chance. Never again.

    This used to be the best bank I could get a car loan through and when I tryed to buy a camper there rate is double le what others were offering and I didnt know the other bank at all I’ve been with navy fed for 15 years plus with 5 auto loans with great rates,

    anything besides the auto loans are the worst rates and not good for business as a 24,000 cash loan is 13% interest with there fees would be 9,600 bucks for five years which is ridiculous, AND on the personal side using a house you own for cash to borrow against is 8% with someone that has only made every payment on time and payed off early and has money but wants to make other choices in having cash for things is not right.
