Macoy Capital

They Are Dishonest And Will Lie Up

Stay away from Macoy Capital they are dishonest and will lie up and down as they procrastinate and do not get the job done.

I started this process with Mitch Ohlbaum last may of 2014 .. its now jan 2015 and i do not have a refinanced loan.

I cannot state how many times I communicated to them and begged for a status report or documentation ,they don’t return calls or emails they are totally inaccessible and will lie up and down to make up stories and excuses for each other.

AT first I though it was really the current re-fi system but then i read the review below from someone that had the same experience as I and i knew this was their policy .

When they asked for new documents i supplied it , because they procrastinated so much the docs would expire …, I was told several times it was a done deal and awaiting closure …But their lack of follow thru either made the deal fall through or was total BS.

He even deleted some numbers on a tax return which i know realize was totally unscrupulous.

Finally he came thru with loan that was 140k less than my loan amount.

promising to get an equity loan to cover the balance ,, but no further communication after that For months .

I am an excellent borrower with great credit and lots and liquid funds and equity ,,, this was totally a lack of follow through and dishonest practice , since today i find out that much of what i was told was not true , and after 8 months of delay I was passed on to the owner ,

After speaking with the owner of the company , who oddly operates under a different company name, .He appligozed and promised an answer in 48 hours 3 weeks later i was turned down due to some “guide lines” of “their lenders .

Wether i qualified or not theres no Reason for someone to treat their clients or anyone this way and be so unprofessional … to waste everyones time that way .It is now 9 months later and I’m starting all over again with ease at Wells fargo … Quite simply If they could not help me they should have said so early on.

Stay far away from these people I think the only positive reviews on here sound fake and were probably set up by them ,,, They are bad news especially the very slippery Mitch Ohlbaum of Macoy capitol .

  1. I am a loyal client of Macoy Capital having worked with Mitch and his team on many mortgages and refinances.

I am a loyal client of Macoy Capital having worked with Mitch and his team on many mortgages and refinances. Mitch always does a tremendous amount of research to ensure I am offered the best possible terms and his staff makes the often tedious process much easier.

They take time to explain each step and answer all of my questions. I am always confident in the packages they secure for me and have recommended their company to several friends.

  2. Dont Use This Company

The inconsiderate nature of these people is mind-boggling, especially when he affirms in the beginning that he was going to personally look after me because I was recommended to him by someone close to him. So how does he treat people he doesn’t like??!!

Not once has he had the courage or integrity to talk to me straight, to accept responsibility for bungling the whole thing, for showing any sort of remorse or understanding that his incompetence and lies will cost me upwards of $30K, and if I don’t qualify for a 15-year because of the rate hike, an additional $250-300K!

There is not one single promise Mitch or Claudia have made that they have kept, NOT ONE! Go to these people at your own risk and only if you enjoy being scammed, ignored, lied to, and taken advantage of.

  3. Bad Service Provide

At one point, after almost two months, Claudia assured me that just one more document was needed, and it would be going to the underwriter next week at which time I would probably close. Then, nothing. More emails, no response.

Weeks later, just the other day, he finally calls and tells me he was out of town, and oh, by the way, my lock was broken – Claudia hadn’t informed him and he just learned! After 2 1/2 months, and the very week the rates spike on Bernanke’s comments. Then more assurances that he was going to take care of it and call me the next morning.

Nothing, I send texts asking for updates, no response, finally he says he’s working on it and needs more time. Then I send 2 more texts, nothing. Then he texts me the next day saying his VP of Operations will get this resolved by morning’s end. Nothing. Then more texts and phone call attempts……NOTHING. FINALLY, Friday evening at 7 PM, a short terse text “Looks like we’ll have to reprice your loan Monday”!

  4. Scammer

STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY FROM MITCH OHLBAUM!!! I cannot stress enough that this is the most incompetent, negligent and unprofessional person I have EVER dealt with. I am a CPA, and he came EXTREMELY highly recommended by a client of mine who uses him for all of her real estate transactions. He “locked” in a great rate for me at 3% on a 15-year fixed refi in early April,.

I was ecstatic and extremely thankful. I responded to every single request for documents (and there were many) within hours or one day at the most. Communication, however, was difficult….he, and his cohort Claudia, were incredibly unresponsive, and I’m not a nagging or needy person, I just want to be kept up-to-date. Most texts and emails of mine went unanswered, and when they finally would get around to answering me, it was to ask for another document, and reassure me that all was going well.
