LoanStar Home Lending

The Worst Experience

I will never use LoanStar Home Lending again. I just purchased my first home and it was the worst experience and I wish I would have gone through someone else.

My closing date was rescheduled 3 times. FINALLY they set a day and a time, I get to the escrow office and the paperwork still was not ready!

My loan officer showed up late (knowing I had to be to work and I scheduled it for a specific time for a reason) so that delayed the sellers and buyers even more!

I’m not sure if it was my loan officer, or someone else, I just don’t know.

I was told my down payment would be X amount and just a couple days before closing I was told otherwise.

I asked numerous times what the EXACT amount I needed to make the cashiers check for, and I kept getting “I’m not at my desk” then she never got back to me.

I showed up with a check hoping it was enough because no one would answer my questions.

We purchased our home after renting the same home for a few years, so we know the sellers.

They could not believe this experience either. They told me typically you get some sort of gift from the lender, which we did.

A Uhaul gift card. They all knew we didn’t have to move, since we already lived there.

To say the least, they wouldn’t give us any other gift.

This is not a company that builds relationships with their clientele, OBVIOUSLY.

Go somewhere else, save yourself a nightmare.

1 Review on LoanStar Home Lending

  1. I hope this review helps and I hope the best for your future home purchase.

Great at selling you and promising you the world. All documents were submitted. Was told by Anya loan specialist and her colleagues everything has been submitted and in underwriting. A week goes by…..I asked multiple times is there anything else you need. Nope nothing is needed at this time. On closing day, I’m asked to provide additional documents.

WTF, OK, no problem, here you go with the additional docs. It will take 24 hours to review we can not close today which is the closing date. FML at this point. WTF are the sellers going to do at this point? Luckily, they didn’t back out. So, they continue working on this loan, taking there time, every time I call, they’re in a meeting of some sort.

For god sake’s its closing date, do you all not care about closings. At this point I still have no idea what my EXACT amount I need to bring to the table is. Finally they call me the following day at 4:30 pm that you are ready to close, here is how much you need to bring to closing and go to the title company.

LMFAO. They had over 20 days to get this loan fully funded and they want me to run around town like a chicken and randomly make it to the title company in less then 30 minutes to close. This is the experience I had with this company. You decide what you want to do now? I hope this review helps and I hope the best for your future home purchase.
