These guys really don't want to sell a car

This Lexus of Birmingham dealership is absolutely worthless. I’ve inquired about a month ago for a 2004 Lexus IS300 and offered to them what I believed was a reasonable price and they countered me with “We don’t negotiate prices”.

No problem, policy is policy.

Fast forward to yesterday and the price is now reduced below what I offered initially (lol) so I called them three times throughout the day.

Dialed 2 each time for sales with no response, left a voicemail and no one returned my call.

I called back today and spoke to a receptionist instead only to be forwarded to that same voicemail box.

I finally tried again and was able to reach someone in sales (thank god I thought!) in order to get a total out-the-door price so that I could prepare the amount of cash needed for purchase since i’m inquiring from Atlanta.

“I will have a sales manager call you”. No call and I can’t reach anyone. These guys really don’t want to sell a car. I give up.

    I have always had I thought excellent service with Tom Williams and my service rep. is a doll.however I was told I got bad gas from a members club in town ….aft much hassle with the club and aft reading many different reviews on using the term “bad gas”

    at dealerships I am beginning to wonder if that really was the problem… The cost to fix the problem was $513. which I thought was very high But as a woman how do I know ? Any comments, observations or similar problems with Tom Williams ? P.S. this is their lease car which makes it more interesting..

    My Car working good …( just Dash board Cracked ) & My friend replace Dash board , but He Installer wrong wire, and everything working ..just A/C no Power…, I go to go Lexus of Birmingham we say Computer network GA not working ($403 ) for Computer ( I did to pay)

    The car itself is a great car! The price was great for the amenities received; however, the customer service process is lacking! I came to the dealer after reviewing the online inventory. To this point, the sales team really didn’t have to “do” anything besides process the paperwork.

    They sold me the car, but didn’t have the second remote for me. It’s been a hassle the entire time to obtain that. Also, I sold my old car to them, but have yet to receive a payment.

    It’s been two weeks…..And no one really seems to care since their deal is done. All I hear is “Oh just keep checking every couple of days…So I guess their motto is “once the deal is done, on to the next one.

    I took my RX350 in for its 5000 mile service. In addition to the free tire rotation, I asked them to check for a rattle on the driver’s side around the dash. The technician rode, with me, heard the rattle, and thought he knew what needed to be done (add a weight at the exhaust).

    The fix did not work (I still have the rattle) and when I got home I noticed that the tires had not been rotated (although the receipt said they had been rotated). I made a second trip to Lexus of Birmingham the next day (35 miles round trip) to get the tires rotated as they should have been on the first trip. Will follow up on the rattle later.

    We financed an SUV through Tom Williams Lexus/Lexus Financial Services. A little over a year ago, my husband paid $13,000 to pay down the balance for my hybrid SUV. The amount he paid brought the balance down to around $4500.

    Each month since then we have gotten our usual statement. The balance due has remained the same, the monthly payment due has been $0.00, and the next payment date has always been December. We want to pay the car off this month,

    so I went to the LFS website to get the payoff. The payoff is $6000 even though the balance is $4000. I know that payoffs are typically slightly higher than balances, but a $2000 difference was shocking. I searched online to find out why it was so high, and I ran across a site that explained that interest accrues from the DATE OF THE LAST PAYMENT.

    I would NOT EVER buy from these people again!!! I bought my daughter an RX-350 and she has been trying to get her dash replacement from them for 2 years. They now will not call her or myself back. They will not take our call or acknowledge we spent almost 50K with them. GO TO REINHARDT in Montgomery, it is worth the drive, they answer the phone and everything.

    First we had trouble getting anyone to answer the phones. The (205) numbers were never answered except by machine and the (855) infrequently. While waiting on financing approval for a car overnight, they sold it out from under us. Sales guy didn’t even respond, we had to call him for follow up. Very poor experience all around. Would never buy or recommend them to anyone…

    Abysmal customer service. I’ve driven Lexuses for over a decade and used the dealership in multiple cities and this one is BY FAR the absolute worst – rude, slow, careless, and totally incompetent. Systemic failure of service. I guess I’m either moving again or buying a Tesla.

    The vehicle that I own was originally purchased from the dealership. There is a recall on the dashboard in my Lexus RX 330 but they will not fix it. I did all steps to get it fixed but they still would not replace the dashboard that has a recall on it.

    I contacted Sonic, Dba Lexus of Birmingham last week to inquire about a Lexus GS 350 F Sport that I saw online. My experience has been by far the worse ever by a dealership. The initial outreach was through the online form, which I never received a reply. I followed-up with a call and was immediately transferred to a sales rep.

    He answered my initial questions, and I conveyed to him that I resided in Huntsville and could not make it to Birmingham until the following weekend to purchase the vehicle, due to work and other obligations. However, I did offer to make a deposit, because the Lexus was exactly what I have been in the market for. After attempting to fill out the credit form online, there was an error which did not allow me to submit the form.

    I Immediately called Lexus of Birmingham to speak with someone in the finance department, no one answered the phone. I called back and spoke to someone in sales again. The gentleman told me to hold while he transferred my call, but once again no one answered. Yesterday the 19th I called again to see what the issue was, and no answer again.
