Pure Evil
Ziad Nabbout is an evil individual who has provided me with terrible service.
His Service Manager left without notice, leaving my truck stranded at his shop for eight months.
Despite promising to have his mechanic fix it upon their return from vacation, the mechanic informed me that he was never asked to work on my truck.
Ziad is a complete waste of life.
On one occasion, I had to bring my car back because Ziad gave one of his incompetent mechanics 5 quarts of oil to put in a 3.8-quart capacity engine.
I discovered this issue three hours away when my car started idling rough and hesitating.
Ziad dared to lie, claiming that over 1.2 quarts wouldn’t harm the engine. He has become the laughingstock among mechanics in Salem.
When I returned to get the oil drained, Ziad had the nerve to ask me to come back again.
The same mechanic couldn’t correctly balance my wheels, resulting in severe shaking when I drove on the highway.
Ziad doesn’t even have a torque wrench to retorque aluminum wheel lugs, opting to use an impact wrench on everything, which can warp disc brakes or break bolts.
This is basic Mechanics 101, and Ziad fails miserably.
The last straw was when Ziad replaced my fuel tank due to a sudden gas leak.
However, the problem persisted because they forgot to address the corroded fuel pipe.
He suggested I continue driving the vehicle with baby seats inside until he finished working on my truck, despite repeatedly lying about the completion date.
To make matters worse, Ziad performed work on my wife’s car without her permission or providing an estimate.
He charged her more than a dealership and instructed her to make me pay for it without realizing it should have been billed to her business account.
This low life even messed up my mother’s car, failing to properly fix the E Brake, resulting in the DMV rescheduling the road test.
My truck experienced the same issue after a timing belt replacement, and Ziad takes no responsibility for hiring mechanics who couldn’t even work at Pep Boys.
The amateur welds they performed on my frame appeared questionable, possibly even illegal, and the welding grapes they left behind can’t be chipped off.
Don’t just take my word for it; look at the exorbitant receipts I paid for services on two vehicles from 1998.
I could have easily bought another car with that money.
Many other shops in Salem have good ratings from the Better Business Bureau, unlike Ziad’s nonexistent rating after supposedly being open for over 30 years.
His Facebook page only has one review, and his employees and their relatives pay for all the positive Google reviews, specifically praising his honesty.
I want to thank my friends who helped me compile this review while we discussed these issues over drinks at Sidelines.
Taking action is far more productive than just talking about it.
Ziad never calls when the vehicle is ready, fails to obtain permission for work, and neglects to provide estimates.
I witnessed him telling two elderly women that he would remove the clutch from their Jetta without charging for parts, despite not obtaining consent.
Look at these inflated bills, surpassing dealership prices, yet the cars still have unresolved problems.
One of the cars continues to leak gas after Ziad removed and reinstalled the gas tank twice, and he expects me to keep coming back with babies in the car.
