If you think you might purchase a house, you should save your tax returns.
You won’t lose your tax returns if you save them. Ever.

You tried to get a printout of your 2011 tax return but were turned down TWICE because of “high volume.”
You will need a ticket to see staff members and have them print a copy of your return.
Although the IRS website states that appointments are not required, it is a good idea to make an appointment. Or patience.
Although I have yet to make it to the cubes to talk to anyone, the third time will hopefully prove to be the charm.
It is also challenging to get into and out of this building.
There is no designated parking, a slow metal detector/security checkpoint, and very little signage to help people find their way.
It is imposing, so I am giving it an extra star.
