After a 25 year relationship with Huntington National Bank, I was making a transaction at the Beechwold location on Friday, September 16.

It was taking a little long, so the woman behind me in the drive thru began to blow her horn and call me an “effing bitch” and I should hurry up. And kept on doing it.

I went back to her and asked what the problem was, telling the teller to call security.

When I got home, the HNB manager called to say my accounts had been cancelled.

No discussion…no expression of MY side…no consideration of a 25 relationship.

Now shopping new banks. Huntington is the Trump of crappy financial institution. Shame on them.

  1. Very happy long term banking relationship

    About 15 years ago my son put me in a precarious financial situation. I couldn’t make ends meet and I couldn’t get a bank account. I was in debt up to my eyeballs. I had a decent income but I couldn’t keep up with the vigorous debt. A clerk at Huntington noticed that I was cashing out my entire paycheck every other week and after a few months he took me aside and expressed how unsafe it was to even just walk to my car with that amount of cash. He assured me that Huntington would work with me even though other banks had turned me down. They did and without fees. Today I have substantial savings with Huntington and I trust them implicitly, I can only think that the people writing these horrible reviews have abused the terms of their agreement and are looking to place blame.

  2. Very unprofessional and I hope she finds a new job that won't make her so miserable.

    Today I called in to figure out my remaining balance on my car Loan for the month because the website is not exactly user friendly. The customer service representative was really nasty and her attitude was uncalled for.

    When I asked if i could make a payment with her over the phone she huffed and puffed and I ended up just telling her i would pay on line and hung up. Very unprofessional and I hope she finds a new job that won’t make her so miserable.

    Do not use this bank/ATM if you’re not a Huntington member. We just lost an ATM card in the machine and were originally told we could get it back after the technician retrieved it, even though it wasn’t a Huntington card, if we left our contact information and had a photo ID when we returned.

    We emphasized the importance of getting the card back, that it was issued by our employer and is how we got paid, and were then told it would be shredded! The manager who was called was rude, impatient and unprofessional.

    We work hard to keep a roof over our heads and food on our table and now can’t access our money until our employer issues us a new card. If shredding non-Huntington cards that their machine doesn’t return is bank policy it should be made known before you use their ATM!

    Heartless Huntington – I asked for a 2 week grace period and/or a lower rate since the government shutdown has been going on for 3 weeks now and Huntington flat out told me NO! Please don’t bank with them.

  5. I'd get a good run-and-go!

    HORRIBLE! This so-callled bank has the worst so-called customer service in the history of money. A customer service rep tells me when a deposit will be credited only to find out the next day it will be five days later.

    Even their written deposit schedule coincides with what the rep told me. No one will help or at least tell me why they screwed up so badly. Pathetic. Given the choice of jumping off a cliff or dealing with Huntington, I’d get a good run-and-go!

    Worst bank on the planet. Customer service only reads off scripts, no true human interaction. Do your self a favor, bank somewhere else.
