Service here was terrible.

I made an appointment at the Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of this week to come see a specific car. They called me no less than 5 times throughout the week checking in and confirming my appointment; they said the car would be pulled up and ready for me along with similar vehicles.

So far, so good, although I thought the amount of calls was a little excessive.

I get there on time for my appointment. I wait and it turns out the salesman I have the appointment with isn’t available so I get another guy, Brandon.

I’m taken into an office, asked some questions, and then he goes to get the keys. 10 minutes later he comes back and says it’s out on a test drive.

Why is the car I have an appointment to see at that very moment on a test drive? It’s now 5:30.

Brandon disappears and says he will wait for it to be back. He never returns.

Meanwhile the door is open and I’m sitting there staring at the wall so I finally go outside with my boyfriend and his dad, who have since shown up to be with me, and look at cars with them.

Despite Brandon having my number, he never calls/texts me to find out where I went in order to update me on the test drive situation.

Turns out the guest who had it on a test drive was hemming and hawing over whether to buy it; I know this because we came across him at the front of the dealership.

I eventually found Brandon outside around 30 minutes later and he says the guest is now inside “talking numbers” and “in the next few minutes” he should know whether they were buying or not and whether I could have my test drive.

We also wanted to test drive a truck for my boyfriend who is in the market for a vehicle, and told Brandon to call or text me as soon as he knew because we were test driving something else, which he agreed to do.

Needless to say, Brandon never contacted me. When we got back from test driving the truck with another salesman, Ben (who is great by the way).

I talked to an employee and turns out the man bought the car I was set to test drive, essentially buying the car out from under me.

Brandon never let me know anything and never offered to show me other vehicles– though Ben, the guy who we test drove the truck with, did take the time to show me other cars they had online.

I never got any type of apology or notice on what happened, such as a simple “sorry but the car has sold.”

I only found out through some other random salesman I was able to grab who went in and found out for me.

No one reached out to me about my appointment, and apparently Brandon thinks I vaporized into thin air and ceased to exist after the car was sold to someone else.

Additionally, when I was shown similar cars online at their dealership.

I felt pressured and when I told them my max budget, they continued to show me cars over $2000 above my budget, going on about how I can just finance for more months or make bigger payments each month (yeah right! Exactly what I’m trying to avoid).

I especially enjoyed how a manager tried to explain how interest works to me like I’m stupid.

The thing is, I understand interest perfectly fine– that’s exactly why I’m trying to avoid paying more of it.

I insisted on my max budget for an hour and a half while they refused to come down on the price at all and kept “going to talk to the manager” about the price I wanted and coming back with the same original number.

Mind you it is the end of the month.

If they can’t meet the price I want, that’s perfectly fine, but I wish they would just say that up front and save all of our time.

I should’ve just left when they sold the first car out from under me, which was downright rude.

Bottom line: I was prepared to purchase a car today, but their subpar service has ensured that I will be making that purchase elsewhere.

Update on 5/7 to say that a new salesman called me and asked if I’m still in the market, then proceeded to tell me that my file notes that.

I am underage and thus could not buy a vehicle– was there anyone who could sign for me– and that it said I never showed up for my appointment.

What? I corrected him that I’m well over 18 years old (no one could mistake me for being underage) and that I did in fact come to my appointment and told him what happened there.

In my opinion, sounds like someone was trying to cover their butt after the fact so that if I complained it would seem unfounded.

I told the salesman I had bad service and he offered to send me the general manager’s info.

I didn’t think this crappy service situation could get any worse but it just did.

Save your time and buy a car somewhere else where you can actually enjoy the process without being ignored and insulted.

    The service manager, Chris, and his staff were nothing but helpful and attentive. I had an appointment, was seen on time and everything was resolved in a quick, timely manner. VERY SATISFIED!

  2. The only reason I gave four stars is I hate to wait and making the deal takes a long time.

    We bought a Ram truck a few weeks ago, so far we are very pleased with the truck. We was pleased with the young sales lady Chelsea Lynn. She was very knowledgeable about the truck and has a very good attitude.

    If you would like to shop or buy a Ram truck Chelsea is a good sales lady to deal with. The only reason I gave four stars is I hate to wait and making the deal takes a long time.

    This place is extremely unorganized. Staff is rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. Donald in sales talked to me like I’m stupid because I questioned the price, then Savannah the sales manager did the same.

    Talking to her was like talking to a child as she threw a temper tantrum once she realized that I wasn’t backing down. I took my business elsewhere and got a better deal, and I would suggest you do the same. Steer clear of this dealership!

    Service Dept is TERRIBLE! Went to get a small adjustment 2 days after buying a new Dodge. They said it was normal to have that problem, no fix. It got worse. Even dangerous.

    Went to service Dept. They said I could either leave if for 5 – 6 days or make an appointment. I made an appointment. I showed up promptly and had to wait to see a service writer.

    He says I will have to leave the car overnight. Why did they have me make an appointment? Now it’s been there for days, it’s not done, and who knows when I’ll see my car.

Well I am currently writing to you and was now informed after speaking to a manger that the vehicle may not even be ready tomorrow 6/4. This is horrible service,

    I could have had the vehicle serviced by the lowest of low service shops many times over in a 7 day period and may take longer than that. Save your time and your money- do not go here. I have been paying my own bill on a rental car from Enterprise this entire time.

    Normally I would never write such a thing, but I have literally had the worst experience dealing with their service department and have no other choice. Do NOT take your vehicle to this place. On I had my Chrysler van towed to their service department because it wouldn’t start.

    The woman on the phone couldn’t promise it would be looked at that day, but for sure the next. 5/29 I called my service advisor to see if I could pick up my vehicle, I was informed nobody had even looked at it- nor were they planning on it,

    but was promised the right mechanic would be working the next day 8-5 and would get to it. 5/30 never received a call, left 2 voicemails and was never called back. 6/1 I called to tell them I was coming to get my car to take somewhere else, but was then told they finally looked at it and it would be a fuel pump replacement.

    Three days later I’m driving through a thunderstorm and realize my rear windshield wiper is not connected. I call the sales representative and tell him he needs to correct this issue he assures me it will be corrected and to bring it in the next day.

    “Shouldn’t take more than 30-45 minutes if you bring it in first thing in the morning” he says to me. So I make it there before they open up and I’m ready to get this started so I can leave. Four – five hours later my car is finally what I expected it to be when I first signed the papers (at this time more than a week and a half from initial purchase).

    I understand it’s used (this is only one of the list of things wrong with the vehicle we have found out since we bought it.)….but TIRES is a safety issue and a BIG DEAL!!

    This was our ONLY complaint from the start and to now find out these tires were in terrible shape leaves me extremely upset that your dealership would even let someone leave with that being a safety issue.

  12. This was by far the best car buying experience we ever had.

    This was by far the best car buying experience we ever had. We dealt with Renell and he really made the experience effortless. We also worked with the Manager who was super knowledgeable about financing etc and wasn’t pushy. Would definitely recommend Hendrick to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle!

    I have no rating for this place. I have purchased from them before they didn’t do what they told us then. I have given them several other tries but they act so stupid. I went looking at a truck the sales man ask me 4 diffrent times what was I looking for and why that price range.

    I would ask a price on a truck he would say I’m not sure I don’t know that. Dumb as a box of rocks!! Never again will I go there. Tried putting us in a vehicle we aren’t even interested in. Told me I wanted champagne on a beer budge.

  14. Don't waste your time.

    Before you take delivery of your vehicle you make sure every option is on the jeep , After they get you in a vehicle do not expect them to call you back even after 2 messages and an email. The sign hanging in the showroom says if your not happy call the sales manager. Its bogus.

    I had looked at a white jeep that had a receiver hitch on it and that was the deal we were working , I changed my mind on the color and went with a black one. I asked the question does it have the same equipment. I was told identical.

    Well it was except for the Hitch, This is on me but the fact that I can’t get anyone to call me back to try and see if they can help me out. Crickets. Yes I love the jeep and loved my salesperson. Management is lacking.

    This is hands down one of the worse establishments that I’ve ever been to. I waited so long to leave a review because I was hoping Yelp would come out with a 0 star option. Overall I did not feel good about my purchase and would not recommend this car dealership to my worst enemy.
