Healthy Aging Medical Centers

This clinic was one of the worst medical

I’m a 58 year old male and the decision to go to this clinic was one of the worst medical decisions I’ve ever made. I went to see Dr Johanan D Rand (his real first name, otherwise known as Dr Dov Rand) because of issues other 58 year old males seem to have, exhaustion, low desire etc.

Keep in mind I’ve been extremely healthy all my life but these issues were adversely effecting my life in a variety of ways. I initially had my doubts, after all what doctor would bring a fitness instructor into a private first time meeting with a patient, but Dr Rand did. Because this was so unprofessional I decided not to move forward with his program, but after more research and my inability to find another local NJ doctor who focused on what he promised I went back, and in the late summer of 2015 he placed me on a customized program. All went well for the first few weeks,

I can’t say I experienced any great change in what I hoped for but he had forewarned me that progress would take time. Then came an attack of extreme heart palpitations and in Oct of 2015 I was admitted to the ER with what is known as AFib, feel free to look it up. Long story short I spent 3 days in the ER and due to the fact that my heart would not stop beating at such a dangerously high rate I was wheeled into surgery and my heart was shocked back to normal.

The days that followed left me bedridden but I recovered. I’ve had several attacks since that ER visit and I’ve been told by two heart surgeons that even though my heart is perfectly healthy, and was healthy prior to meeting Dr Rand, that I will likely be susceptible to AFib for the rest of my life. Go figure. I now follow a daily regimen of supplements and have restrictions on many of my earlier pleasures such as coffee and alcohol. I was also led to believe that the treatment I was placed on was likely the cause of the AFib.

Since this episode I set out to really find out who Dr Rand truly is, and I suggest you do the same, you can research any NJ doctor’s licensing history with a little bit of effort. I’ll leave that up to you. So after a $40K hospital bill and a 5 figure co-pay would I personally ever recommend him or his clinic? Absolutely not, my treatment there cost me a bundle with very likely much more to come in the future – so, buyer beware, do yourself a favor and fully investigate before you decide to move forward.
