Mislead
I applied for an auto loan, and I was approved. I found the vehicle I wanted, so the dealer started the paperwork. Everything submitted that Golden 1 required. The only thing left was for me to ensure the car, which I did. After submitting that information to Golden 1, I was told I could pick up the check-up the next day.
Later that day, I received a call from Golden 1 stating they weren’t going to pay the amount that I was approved for and that the deal was finalized with the dealer, and I took possession of the vehicle. If the amount which I was approved for couldn’t be paid on the car just because the car was older and with mileage, then the dealer and I should have been told that in the beginning when the paperwork was submitted, then I could have found a different car.
Not only did Golden 1 lie to me, but they misled the dealer and me through the process. Now I am stuck with this car, trying to find a way to pay for it so it doesn’t mess up my credit and avoid a possible lawsuit with the dealer. A deal is a deal, and Golden 1 broke that contract and placed me in a terrible financial situation.
