Glassdoor

Glassdoor never check the fact or evidence of their reviews

Pay attention. Very important: Glassdoor admits reviews on the site aren’t necessarily true. They don’t argue fact; they only check the languages to make sure it follows the so-called policies. That means as long as there is no profanity or improper languages, fact or not is not their business. They won’t even take or read evidence. The only thing they will not deny is a court order, which they have no choice to deny anyway.

Time to discard and ignore its reviews.

You’d be a fool to even think the reviews will more or less give you an idea of what is going on, or it is just exaggerated. Many of the reviews are completely false and madeup that is not even marginally related to the reality of the company.

Majority of the types of people who write bad reviews on Glassdoor:

1.     Those who have been bad employees and terminated for misconducts. They are disgruntled because the company fired them or criticized them when they totally deserve it.

2.     Those who have ulterior moves and wanted to conduct illegal or thefting activities with the employers but got caught or failed to advance. They hated the companies because their malicious moves has no avail and they were consequently fired.

Good employee types, even ended up at a bad companies, they will most likely know how to protect themselves or maintain a amicable relationship till they find an exit. It is not that common good employee materials will get disgruntled.

They are favored by employers and have great relationships with the employers. Hence the negative reviews are mostly from bad employees who always have bumpy ride wherever they go. They not only hate themselves, they project their own dissatisfaction onto the companies and think they are the problems of them all. Or they simply has inflated egos and don’t like getting fired or criticized even they are the ones who initiated it all.

Chances are if you are reading a review about a terrible or outrageous company,  there is a terrible or outrageous employee behind it. The worse the employee, the worse the review they will write. Because the more severe their misconducts, the more severe their consequences, as well as their anger.

You might now think a review somewhere in the middle might be truthful reviews. Not really! It is actually written by mediocre employees whose neither too bad nor too favored by the employers. Therefore their experience with the company is about so-so or lame, reflecting exactly who they are. Remember great employees will likely have a great experience as a result of their great work and ethics. Their reviews would be quite positive but most of the time happy employees don’t have a need to get the word out – as much as the bad, disgruntled employees.

So the myth resolved: Glassdoor reviews has no credibility and are utter misleading. Most of the time, bad reviews are written by bad employees, middle reviews are by mediocre employees!

Time to discredit Glassdoor for being a sanctuary place for bad employees to rant it out. The most horrible cases are those employees with ulterior, malicious moves coming to Glassdoor to retaliate because the companies won’t allow them do the bad things or their plans failed because they got caught! The innocent employers not only has been harmed and targeted, but also now Glassdoor is the enabler of a second unfounded harm.

It is time Glassdoor remove their review systems as it brought no value at all in terms of evaluating the truth of a company. And how sarcastic the enabler of false reviews is now receiving negative reviews itself, the only difference is the negative review here is true!
