What a bunch of jerks

After over-charging us by more than 2500 dollars, First National Bank Alaska *supposedly* sends a reimbursement check on December 30th (so they don’t count that as in their possession in the next quarter).

NOT registered NOT certified NOT insured and NOT deposited into our checking account OR credited to our home loan.

They provide no proof of a check, or of having sent it and they require us to wait 90 days before they will replace it.

So I ask to speak to VP Craig Thorn, who openly mocks me after I explain that I am having problems retaining thoughts due to PTSD.

“Oh I see, so you lost the check then”…”you must have otherwise how would I know it exists? I only know because you told me; how could you tell me it’s lost if you haven’t seen it?

How would you know if it’s lost?” Sitting arrogantly taunting me, trying to provoke me, AFTER I explained my mental disability to him.

Intentionally triggering every response he can get out of me so he can feel superior is that what they mean by ADA Access?

Seems pretty abusive, extremely rude, and unbelievably unprofessional. So much for personal service. What a bunch of jerks.

    I have zero liability on the card but they still wont take my name off any paperwork. I sincerely hope that every FNBA employee gets the same treatment I did and has their name stolen like mine was. Real life vampires with their own coven under the disguise of banking.

    Wish I could give this bank zero stars they are the worst bank in Alaska ! Been with them over 20 years with both business and personal banking and they have been pulling crap for the last two years that is unbelievable

    I’m literally turning them into the banking commission do not bank here if you want appropriate statements or accurate accounting they lost three of my deposit into months then acted like they were going to give me back the NSF fees as a courtesy even though they created the issue because they lost my deposits!

    This bank should get negative stars and should be closed I’m filing formal complaint at the banking commission anybody who has had problems with them should do the same for these people should be close down they are bunch of crooks and completely crooked !

    Did you know there is there no way to post google reviews for banks?? The worst bank in Alaska. Absolutely no customer service and they are the epitome of banks treating you like another number. Did millions of dollars of business with them, literally, and they still treated me like I am subhuman. They are currently using my name illegally on a company credit card that I used from a former employer, and refuse to remove my name!!

    The credit card is my former employers and was only used for company purchases, I have zero liability on the card but they still wont take my name off any paperwork. I sincerely hope that every FNBA employee gets the same treatment I did and has their name stolen like mine was. Real life vampires with their own coven under the disguise of banking. Never bank with FNBA, ever!

  4. To say I am underwhelmed by my service at First National Bank Alaska is putting it mildly.

    To say I am underwhelmed by my service at First National Bank Alaska is putting it mildly. We set up an escrow account with them two years ago for a loan from a family member. At first, it was all fine. Then a couple of months into the loan we wanted to pay down the principal, so I went into the bank with the money to do so.

    Despite several times saying I wanted it towards the principal they put it towards the next months payment and then reduced my automatic deduction. I called to correct it, and basically was told that their system really wasn’t set up for principal payments. So we were stuck with a loan payment we really would have preferred to pay down faster.
