Fidelity National Title Company

They Completely Screwed

We had minimal contact with Fidelity National Title Company of Oregon on the day we were supposed to close.

They hadn’t reached out to the sellers.

They wouldn’t work with the mortgage broker to provide the forms required for our loan.

They claimed they could not send the forms for up to a week after having already sent them to a mortgage broker.

They completely messed up the closing documents, including failing to notate our deposit of $28,000; charging twice the amount in title fees; and charging us closing costs which were agreed upon with the sellers.

No one in the office handled the closing, and the mortgage broker had to guide them.

Even after all was done, they had to be told that it was time for them to file the title with the county.

To have the report filed by the end of the month, they had to bring it in on the day.

Unbelievable. If I could, I would rate it with a negative star.

The closing was not finalized until the very last moment.
