Equifax

The Business Of Making Itself Is Lrrelevant

Equifax is supposed to be trusted with our credit information to show if we are creditworthy (trustworthy).

Yet the company gives away on 143000000 Americans Social Security numbers and other private information.

I say they give it away because if this company took security seriously, this never would’ve happened or they would’ve caught this way earlier.

Now anybody can apply for credit with those people’s information. If other people can apply for those peoples credit.

Then, what’s the point of credit Bureau that won’t have accurate information? I think this company is in the business of making itself is Irrelevant.

Thanks for giving my information away. you should be offering more than just some BS credit monitoring that your own company provides.

Like I can trust that that’s probably the next breach.

  1. Terrible company.

Terrible company. They have my credit score incorrect. Equifax shows an open loan that has been closed for 8 years. The phone system you call goes through a bunch of options only to let you know you need a confirmation number.

Their website won’t let me open a dispute because it cannot verify me due to the questions asking about the account that is really closed. Just wasted 2 hours of my life to find out that I have a lot more work to do in order to fix their mistakes.

  2. If I Could give them less than 1 star I would. They SUCK, SUCK SUCK!

Have talked to them 4 times today. I’ve been transferred 4 times, hung up on and lied to several times over the past 3 hours. After a fraudulent charge was put on my credit report, they are the only one of 3 credit rating services that has still not removed the fraudulent charge. The creditor has even contacted them at least three times at my request on top of the regular reporting they do. Equifax insists they never heard from them.

The creditor (Verizon) cancelled the fraudulent account the same day I first spoke with them and e-mailed me and the 3 credit reporting services all at the same time. Verizon has been nothing but helpful and really gone out of their way for me. Equifax has been rude on top of rude, refusing to let me talk with a supervisor on several occasions.

They are literally ruining my life since I am trying to apply for a small business loan and their erroneous report is the only thing standing in my way. Everytime I’ve spoken with Equifax today I get a different story and no one is willing to even try and help.

Transunion and Experian have been both professional and helpful. Equifax is horrible and they really don’t care to help someone who has been a victim of fraud. If I Could give them less than 1 star I would. They SUCK, SUCK SUCK!

  3. I will never use Equifax's online subscription products again.

I will never use Equifax’s online subscription products again. They do not provide a way to cancel the subscription online. Rather archaically they force you to call a phone number. Once you navigate the menu and wait your turn,

you can then provide a substantial amount of personally confidential information to what is an obviously outsourced individual. After reading a sales pitch to keep the subscription active and stating several times that you have made up your mind you can get the subscription cancelled.

It is very unfortunate that I was an account holder for six years to add a layer of security to my credit score only to feel the most vulnerable after providing everything an identity thief needs to a person on the other end of the line, just to have the right to cancel my recurring payment, when it should be a button in the portal.

  4. Not what I was looking for in a "fraud alert" service.

I am not one for writing or submitting reviews of products or services. I have a very busy schedule and high pressure job. Thus, to take the time to write a review is just not high on my priority list. However, after the horrible experience and service we received from Equifax Fraud Protection Services, I made the time.

We joined Equifax Fraud Protection Services in April of. My wife and I joined the “Family Plan”. Even after reading many bad reviews about the service, we joined anyway due to the fact that they are also a major credit reporting agency. We felt that would be best.

We quickly realized that their service was very slow and behind. I set certain levels on my personal webpage to receive alerts based on the information I provided. I wanted to be alerted if there were any charges of $100 or more on credit cards, etc.

During this time, I would charge things over $100 on different cards. It took, on average, 3-5 days for an alert to pop up on Equifax. In that time a criminal could charge thousands to my cards.

My Amex card immediately sends me a text and email every time there is a charge on that card. But, it took Equifax 3-5 days to send an alert. Not what I was looking for in a “fraud alert” service.

  5. I have contacted all companies that I deal with not to do business with them.

I have just asked for a Equifax report and have found my rating at 621.The purpose was to secure a lease for my son. I am a guarantor ie I pay for the lease. I have had one non payment where I refused to may inrerste on my Hudson Bay MasterCard because of their error. No other non payments ever. I also have good investment portfolio.

They do not consider assets, do not verify information provided to third parties, they disclose personal information; are not responsive to the errors in my report and have negatively impacted me on interest rates notwithstanding the error ($174) in my credit history. I can not understand why any business would use their services. I have contacted all companies that I deal with not to do business with them.

  6. Bad Service Provide

Do not sign up for anything with them! Good luck getting a hold of them to cancel it! Wow. Awful.

  7. This company is a JOKE.

Seriously, these are the people handling my credit report? Spoke to 10 different people, could barely understand their broken English. After 16 calls(no exaggeration) I finally got my request taken care of….i think. I made the same request last year and was told that it was taken care of.

A year later I am having the same problem. Who the hell makes the decision on which companies are used for credit reporting? Who over they are they should have to call these geniuses and deal with the mounds of BS that we all have to deal with. This company is a JOKE.

  8. They are holding up my loan process. they shoud be sued.

worst possible customer service. no access to a live human being. i want the freeze taken off my name. equifaz wanted me to post the 10 diget number they issued to me 10 years ago!! when i tried to recover it through their computer system,

the system did not recognize my name, ssn, and birthday! How the hell did they put a freeze on my credit if they do not have/or recogniza my name, ssn, and b/d. I wrote a letter over a week ago, speiclal mailing. The letter was quranteed to be there on Friday, June 10th.

I have not heard back. today is june 16 and I have not heard back. they are holding up my loan process. they shoud be sued.

  9. Basically they make it impossible to cancel during the first week and said there policy is NO REFUNDS!

Terrible. Did a $1 weekly trial. Tried twice during the week to cancel it. Was put on hold for over 30 mins each time and had to go back to work. They have no other way to cancel. You can sign up all day long online, but cancel. On the 7th day, my account was charged 19.95.

I finally told my boss i have to call. After 40 mins on hold i finally spoke to a rep. They cancelled my account, but were not able to refund any or partial of my 19.95. They were extremely rude and unhelpful.

They would not cancel my account as of today and I was even able to except a prorate. Basically they make it impossible to cancel during the first week and said there policy is NO REFUNDS!

  10. Nothing is hidden forever. They will go under.

Scammers. Rigged system. They are in bed with the evil corporations and the U.S. Government. They disabled reviews on Google and Facebook because they do not want you to see the dirt that they do. They leave negative information on your credit that clearly should be removed.

They say they investigate but do nothing. How can a company say you have an account with them, when you never had one. No proof. No signature. Just their word against yours.

And then they will not let you re-dispute on something twice. BUT God is not mocked and they will pay for their dirt. You will answer one day. Nothing is hidden forever. They will go under.
