I wish I had known about Equa Global before investing
Not knowing much about the founder of Equa Global and his past companies, I invested, and now it feels like the most stupid thing I have ever done. Shawn Owen is a serial entrepreneur who owns the business and has a dented past. His past companies are already under suspicion.
The SEC fined one of his companies for lying to the investors. And Equa Global is no different. I could have avoided this mistake if I had done a little research. Shawn’s Equa Global is an investment opportunity for those interested in cryptocurrencies.
According to its website, Equa Global is a cap table management platform. It has various opportunities for startups, including private and public companies. The company claims to offer blockchain-based solutions to various equity-related problems. This is not it.
However, there is no proof of the existence of any tool for the same. There are many red flags that you can find out with a closer look at the offering. Equa Global accepts investment in only cryptocurrencies. Apart from that, they only accept payment in USD.
When transactions are made in crypto, there is no trail for the payments, making it difficult for the sender to track or get the money back. And looking at what the owner has done in the past, it is most likely that he is about to repeat the same thing with this company and its investors.
I tried to check more details about the company and its offerings, which only led me to voids. There is no clear description of what the company does or how it plans to help investors earn profit. Everything, from registration to the company’s goals, looks flimsy now.
The landing page talks about investment but not much about how the company plans to lead in the future. When I tried to get my investment back, I was ignored. The company does not even have the decency to reply. I tried to approach the company through social media accounts, but nothing helped.
On the contrary, they deleted all my reviews from social media accounts. It is scary to think how many more people will lose their money to this scammer. I transferred quite a hefty amount in BTC. And there is no way to get it back.
Therefore, I wanted to post this complaint to help others avoid this investment plan. It is nothing but a fraud. You would be lured into investing in a tool without proof of existence and no way to get your money back.
Finally, after you invest, you won’t be able to track the company’s progress and how it would be making you any richer. Equa Global is many dark sides, and nothing seems optimistic at all. Finding much about the company is challenging, leaving investors with nothing but hope to get something in return. Sadly, most of us would never get anything in return.
