Dr. Smikle Collin

Intentions Of Practicing Medicine..... MONEY!

Do NOT go to Dr. Smikle Collin! I know you have to take these reviews with a grain of salt since infertility is such a sensitive subject, but please read on!

I do not need a doctor too hold my hand. I want a doctor who looks at the whole patient and the problem at hand.

Because of this, I looked past his poor bedside manner. I quickly discover his true intentions of practicing medicine….. MONEY!

I went to him for unexplained infertility. Instead of running a multitude of tests to determine the problem, he pushed for the most invasive and costly IVF.

When asked what I would do if I had triplets, I looked at my husband and said “I guess we would deal!”

Because I was not willing to abort one of the fetus, and because I was “too small” to carry triplets, he was not comfortable doing IUI (a far less invasive and affordable option).

My later research showed there was only a 3% chance of triplets with IUI….not a statistic he shared with us.

I don’t know his % of successful IVF, but if you want IVF and no other options he may be your guy. Just expect to be treated as a paycheck instead of a whole person.

Another consideration…. Why are there no other reviews for such an established doctor.

I think Dr Smikle probably paid to remove all the negative reviews.

  1. Really Scammer

I initially start seeing Dr Smikle when he was at Kaiser Walnut Creek I was single & going thru the Sperm bank, after 2 years of IUI I decided to try IVF as he had moved to the reproductive science center in San Ramon. My embryo transfers were done in August and I gave birth to beautiful boy/girl twins in March 2001 at the age of 37.

I moved on with my life, met a man who loved me & my kids & actually gave birth at the age of 43 ( with out any help) to a healthy baby boy ( who was born on April fools day 2006) My husband says ” what do you expect when you are pushing 50 & trying to have a baby God;s going to give him to you on April fools day” Dr Smikle made my dreams come true with Nora & Gabriel who are happy healthy 12 year olds now and for that I will always be grateful. He is truly a blessing. Elizabeth Bowman ( Kimbrough)
