Dr. Michael Reid

He Most Expensive Treatment

Dr. Michael J Reid’s office is a museum of pharmaceutical advertising literature, and you can expect to see a parade of very pretty young female pharmaceutical sales reps with their portmanteaus of samples and free lunches take priority in his waiting room.

After you’ve managed to see him and get a prescription for the most expensive treatment possible, compounded by a service delivery schedule designed to maximize the number of visits you make and favoring off label and non-formulary solutions for which you can expect to pay out of pocket, his office will send you bills following an illegal “balance billing” practice and then both stop your course of treatment and threaten legal and collections action if you report it to your insurance company.

The negotiated rate is the negotiated rate, and considering the time he makes for his pretty sales reps, he could devote it to better negotiation if he wanted to get paid more.

Then there is this: if you have a cold causing severe wheezing or pneumonia for which it would be unsafe to administer immunotherapy, he will charge you for the therapy or the no-show anyway, even though you were instructed not to show or not administered the therapy.

He might make a charming and helpful impression, but at the end of the day he’s smiling at his bank account

  1. I have Dr. Reid, Janel and his medical staff to thank for during one of the most scariest time of my life.

Dr. Reid and his staff has helped with my allergy over the years but it wasn’t until I was pregnant I realized just how amazing Dr. Reid and the staff is. I NEVER had asthma my whole entire life, and somehow during second trimester I was having extremely difficulty breathing.

Dr. Reid was able to provide relief and even MEDICATION that I was able to be on during my pregnancy. I went from having severe chest tightness and gasping for air to being normal again. I have Dr. Reid, Janel and his medical staff to thank for during one of the most scariest time of my life.

  2. Scammer

Dr Janel Liverato from Dr Reid’s office was very kind and professional on my allergy consulting. I Not highly recommend the office to anyone looking for quality treatment.

  3. please do not risk your time and money by visiting Amber Weiss.

Amber Weiss the Physician Assistant is someone one should avoid getting a consultation from. Being an Asthmatic, and acquiring a terrible immune system, I was only recommended the obvious- from plenty of teas to herbal nasal sprays for colds and congestions. Though within her presence I was promised to be given the best treatment and progressive consultations, however,

upon arriving home, after a single 1 sentenced e-mail, Amber advised me to consult their medical team rather than her for further information. Highly disappointed, though I am sure they attain tremendous knowledge on their work and specialty,

please do not risk your time and money by visiting Amber Weiss. She also works are One Medical in the 110 Sutter Street location, and again though the One Medical group is a brilliant team of doctors, Amber Weiss fails to provide her constant support to her patients until full recovery.
