Dr. Maria Reyes

The People In The Office Are Nasty&Rude

I have been a patient of Dr. Maria Reyes for nearly ten years but now have to find another doctor.

I made an appointment for a physical (100% paid for by insurance) and arrived 15 minutes late.

Apparently they had new “policy” that if you are 15 minutes or more late, the doctor won’t see you.

I needed some persciptions refilled so the doctor did renew for a few months and my bill was $85.00, I had called to say traffic was bad and I might be a few minutes late.

They told me I should cancel the appointment and make another one even though I had just raced down from Northbrook.

I tried to hurry but was 15 minutes late. They told me if I had been 14 minutes late the doctor would have seen me.

The people in the office are nasty, rude and just people I never want to deal with again.

I can’t believe I have to find another doctor because of rude office staff but Dr. Reyes says she doesn’t set the policy.

She suggested I talk to Rose, the office manager, and if anything, she was worse.

If I have to find a new doctor, I will. One thing I won’t do is pay for the kind of treatment I received from these people.

Dr Reyes is great but I won’t fight her office staff to get to her.

I’ve tried to find some place to make a complaint but can’t seem to find out who sets this “policy”.

They said the policy was changed because patients were complaining about having to wait.

They have a fool-proof way of addressing patient complaints: get rid of the patients.

I’m one patient who will neve complain because I’ll never go back.

  1. I made the decision to stay with my current plan because of Dr. Reyes.

I had the opportunity to switch to a different health plan, with more benefits, etc. I made the decision to stay with my current plan because of Dr. Reyes. It is not too often that you can find a physician who makes you feel better when she walks in!

  2. The one star is NOT for Dr. Reyes...she is a fantastic doctor.

The one star is NOT for Dr. Reyes…she is a fantastic doctor. The one star is for the office staff. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Reyes two plus weeks in advance.

I got a call two days before the appointment reminding me that it was with Dr. Reyes. The day before I call and was told that I was not scheduled with Dr. Reyes and that her next appointment was April the 7th.

I injured my knee badly in December. I called for an appointment and x-rays were ordered first. The office staff told me I could pick up the order, but they neglected to tell me that the downstairs radiology department was undergoing construction and only the hospital radiology department would be open.

I had to limp all the way over to the hospital to the department, only to be sent back upstairs to registration (they didn’t tell me about that either) and then back down to radiology.
