Dr. Kathryn J. Clark
Negative ExperiencesWithout my consent and medical necessity, Dr. Kathryn Clark violated every point of my birth plan.
I labored for 72hours, had a completely natural birth, which I worked hard for, and she refused to wait for me to clamp the cord.
She also gave me IV fluids, Pitocin, and a catheter, which I still have, without giving me or my body any time to deliver the placenta.
She wouldn’t let me choose my birthing place, and she kept me on my back even when I asked to flip over three more times.
My husband was not allowed to catch the baby, so I had to shout for her to give me my baby after 5 minutes when she was supposed to put her on my stomach.
Additionally, she was insulting with my stitches, uterine massage, and general treatment.
Three weeks later, I still feel the pain and have nightmares about her.
Side note: The other three doctors in her practice are amazing, and I have had two good experiences with them.
Both of my friends also had great experiences with them.
However, their experiences were not as bad as mine because they could not get her for delivery.
I am so happy that I could give birth naturally and am thrilled for my little girl.
But, if you are reading this, I hope you stay away from this monster of an obstetrician.
The OB field will benefit if this old witch can retire sooner than she does.
I feel utterly violated and am on the brink of suing.
Never Again
Recently, she was called. They told me she was retiring.
