Dr. Cullough David

He Is Verbally Abusive

He verbally abuses me (called me “retarded” because I rode on a motorcycle without a helmet) and asks me if I have any HIV friends (because I had chickenpox).

While talking to my Neurologist, he called her “dumb broad,” causing her to refuse further communication with him.

He is ancient, but he hasn’t retired because he wants to do something with his time (his words and not mine).

I was often in tears, and he never listened to me.

I am a chronic pain patient and also highly claustrophobic.

I needed an MRI, but I panicked even with Valium/Ativan.

I was shaking, vomiting, and crying, so I couldn’t even get in the building.

He told me the next time I saw him that he would cut off my pain medication if I didn’t go to the MRI next time.

This was not only inhumane but also made me feel even more trapped.

My pain medication would have left me writhing on my floor in pain. I could also end up in hospital.

Like in the previous case, I could not enter the building to undergo the MRI.

I spoke with the Radiologist over the phone, and he was shocked at Dr. McCullough’s attempt to force me into the MRI machine.

He called him, basically, and ripped him a brand new one so that the bully was bullied again.

He didn’t stop me from taking my medication, but he did what the Radiologist instructed him to do: arrange for me surgical anesthesia to allow us to perform the test (and it was! ).

A month later, I needed emergency oral surgery. I not only informed Dr. McCullough but also showed him the tooth.

It was all OK with him. He just wanted to make sure that I had taken all the antibiotics.

He called me one week after my surgery and informed me that he would be cutting my medication because the dentist had used Nitrous Oxide. This was a complicated procedure.

He said it was the same as receiving pain medication from another doctor.

It was all so unfair.

I asked him if it would be a weening off, and he replied that he was not going to make me go cold turkey.

I reminded him about the ramifications, and he suggested that I go to the ER immediately after I had left his office.

My tears turned to dust by the time I got back, and I was walking out of there like a zombie.

It may be a mystery to you why I stayed with him for so long (roughly a year). I’ll explain.

Doctors became cautious about prescribing pain medication for chronic pain patients after Michael Jackson’s tragic passing.

It is tough to find someone who understands chronic discomfort I have multiple medical conditions that are valid) and who will prescribe the best combination of medications for me?

I have had chronic pain since age 18 but stopped taking pain medication until I turned 23. Now, I am 28.

It took me a while to find the right balance to care for my Mother, who is severely ill and disabled.

He also advised me to put my Mother at 56 years old in a convalescent home. Outrageous!.

Dr. McCullough offered to help me, but only if he took my abuse. I was caught between two hard places.

When he cut me off due to the Nitrous Oxide, it was my first feeling helpless and hopeless.

It felt like a nightmare. It was a blessing in disguise.

That day, I returned home and made my first appointment at PAMF.

He was not only understanding, caring, sweet and professional, but he was also willing to accept me as a regular patient.

McCullough never thought of anything, and he has discovered diagnoses that McCullough did not know about.

My new doctor is a blessing from God, and I am thankful for his thoroughness every day.

He treats my pain holistically and medicinally. I have never felt better.

Avoid Dr. McCullough. He’s toxic!
