Dr. David Hidalgo, MD

David Hidalgo is scammer w/o any professionalism or empathy for patient

I will admit that my case was a complex one. I was looking for a doctor to get my rhinoplasty revision done. When searching online, I learned about Dr. David Hidalgo.

I immediately called his office to get the appointment. Little did I know that he was just another con artist.

Also, when I spoke with the receptionist, she did not inform me about the $300 consultation fee.

This did not even include the surgery charges.

She just told me to meet the next day in the afternoon.

I stay too far from the office. So, I requested if she could reschedule it for the evening. But she said that the slot wasn’t empty.

I agreed but had to apply for leave at my work. I reached on time as discussed with that lady.

However, the doctor wasn’t available. The receptionist told me Dr. David was busy with surgery and would talk to me in an hour.

I waited for almost 3 hours before I was called inside.

Technically, he met me in the evening and not afternoon. This was very unprofessional of him.

Not just that, the doctor reassured me that the transformation would look natural and blended. He said the procedure wouldn’t be as tricky as I suggested. All those things made me feel that he knew his job.

However, when the surgery was completed, the results were scary. He made my nose look more prominent instead of more minor. It is different but not the way I asked for.

Not just that, it appears witchy when I smile and even broader than before. It is not at all feminine, as we discussed. And far from elegant.

A little has changed in terms of the botched nose I hated. But nothing worth the investment I made, both financially and emotionally.

On top of that, after surgery, the nurse took off my bandages and left for 40 minutes before the doctor arrived. I was alone and cried when I looked in the mirror.

I was not able to see my nostrils. It felt like I made a huge mistake and left wondering if there was an explanation for this hideous change.

When the doctor came, he told me that the problem was because of the swelling and it will go in a few weeks. And it did get better after a week, and I could look at my nostril.

But the pain those 40 minutes caused me was freaking scary. Dr. David does not have empathy for his patients.

He is a liar and does not know his job. He is very expensive. Plus, his unprofessionalism is beyond tolerable.

I am unfortunate and repented the day I called his office. I must have never walked into his office.

I am never going to recommend this doctor to anyone. He is a nightmare, and his work is the worst. Stay away!!!!

  1. Horrible doctor

I completely agree with the negative review about Hidalgo. I also had the same feeling that he has zero empathy.
If anything afterwards, I believe he got into surgery due to sublimated sadism. He recommended I added procedures I didn’t need for no reason and they made my recovery hell, I was butchered by Dr.Hidalgo and he showed no empathy, no remorse, no accountability.
I also dealt with the negligence of the nurses, there was one young nurse that hit my wound while trying to put the garment and I started fainting, at first she was like “you are fine” I told her no I am fainting, then she left me there in the bathroom alone, went to ask another nurse for help and left me alone fearing I am gonna faint and fall on my face.
They also didn’t give me anything to eat when I woke up, I think that was also the reason for fainting. When MJ and the nurse showed up I was barely keeping myself from fainting, scared, they had no empathy and didn’t apologize, just asked me what happened? As if it was my fault that the nurse had hit my wound while putting the garment and I was fainting.
MJ also refused to give me ice in the way that I needed it and it harmed my recovery.

Horrible horrible traumatic experience. Avoid Dr.Hidalgo at all costs.

  2. Highly recommend

My experience has been nothing less than wonderful. The staff has been extremely helpful through each step, and Dr. Hidalgo has been very informative and gave me a sense of comfort from the very first day I walked in the office through the actual surgery. I am thrilled with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Hidalgo.
