Di Pesa & Company, CPA’s is a rip off. I met with Dolly early in the year and spent 1/2 hour with her discussing the reason I wanted them to prepare and file my tax return.
I was quoted $750.00 minimum to prepare and file.
At the meeting I was asked to send to her a number of documents to get a jump start on my return.
I did so and was send an invoice for $500 which I promptly paid assuming at the end of the year I would be billed the additional $250.00 to file.
No, I get an e-mail saying the $500 was for services to make sure I didn’t “owe” any money and If I wanted them to file my taxes it would be an additional $750.00.
On top of that they send me an “organizer” that is essentially me doing my own taxes to send to them to file for me.
Oh, and on top of that they charge you for the e-filing fee. Give me a break.
Trust me, go someplace else.
