Do NOT do business with Community Choice Credit Union. I was a member for 30 years. They been making money off my deposit.

I elected to not use these accounts and for this they elected to charge me addition monies for the non-use WITHOUT Notice.

Every banking institution uses the deposits of their clients and makes money which is good business for them.

To turn around and charge their client without warning is BAD business!

    BAD FOR RETIRED or DISABLED PEOPLE . I’m permanently disabled and had a small business. The business went under so I became late in some of my payments. Though it is ILLEGAL for disability to be garnished, from debtors. #communitychoice #communitychoicecreditunion Emptyed my account to pay a late car loan ( which the engine was bad and I was still paying off) and other loan payments.

    I had previously been in the branch that was formerly Rome CU . to explain the situation I was in (still have the previous manager whom I had a Steller relation with) it caused me to be late paying rent and was evicted. Some months later, having to rent a room, I gave a new person a deposit and 1st month’s rent. and again Community choice took out loan payment out of my disability, causing my check to bounce and become homeless again …. the jeep was stolen 2 x (once car jack on Christmas day) I did not have insurance but kept paying car notes (it was recovered 5 months later) Valve seats bad and I was trying to sell it and was stolen a second time, however it ran like crapp so it was abandoned and insurance gave me enough to fix it, however, I paid the loan off and junked the car. It took me 7 months after finally closing my accounts with community choice to get back on my feet. My health issues and disability it was devastating.

    In the subsequent years, Community choice sued me got a judgment, for almost 2X what I owed, and has tried to attack my bank accounts. Over 12 x now attempted to garnish my disability… 3 attempts during the pandemic they have tried to attack my bank accounts. They use a law firm rather than a collection agency. that is vicious in going after any money

    This place deserves a zero star rating, but the lowest I can go is 1 star. I was a member of the previous credit union they merged with. I stopped using the place as my primary bank, and I only had a direct deposit of dividends from a super small investment that I forgot about. It was literally 50 bucks a year being deposited.

    This place charged me 6 dollars a month for the pleasure of having them not do anything. There was even a convenience fee for charging fees. I didn’t have enough money in my account to cover the fees, so they gave me a loan. The loan was only $6.81, but in order to close my account and pay off the loan with a debit card over the phone, there was a $15 dollar fee.

    I would rather set the $15 dollars on fire than to give it to a bunch of criminals like this place. I told them I would be in on Monday to pay it off.

  3. This branch obviously isn't concerned about customer service.

    We’ve been a member for years. Went into the Milford, MI office and needed one page notarized. The lady working there wouldn’t take the time to help us out because it was after 5pm and she’s normally off at 5pm. Would have taken her one minute. Definitely disappointed and considering moving banks. This branch obviously isn’t concerned about customer service.
