Canvas Credit Union – Univers...

Customer Service

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!!!!!!!!!!! This post is about PSCU in general no specific location.

Canvas Credit Union – University Branch’s associates are RUDE over the phone and have zero intention to assist in trouble shooting the issue you are calling about.

They literally do not care about their consumers that bank with them! I cannot wait to close my accounts with this bank, they are so awful!!!

First incident- Our joint bank account had a withdraw for roughly $500 from an insurance company we did not do business with nor were even familiar with.

When we called CS, they were not helpful at all.

They told us to call the insurance company to have the money put back in the account….WHAT?! I wouldn’t even know where to start!

The bank was not in anyway an advocate to us during the process and made it even more stressful treating us like we intentionally withdrew from the account!

First time I ever had such an experience with a bank.

Second incident- I attempt to log onto the app to check my account. Something I do as a part of my daily routine.

I was getting an error that my username/password were incorrect. I know they were not, but followed the prompts to change my password.

I had to enter my account number, SSN, and DOB. No match!

I was so freaked out I called their customer service line at 303-691-2345 and got an unfriendly, unconcerned agent on the other end.

She asked me a series of questions, including my login in ID name and the last deposit made into my account (date, vendor, and amount).

The agent sternly told me that I failed all questions, which were 100% correct, and to go into a branch for assistance.

I asked her if I should be concerned and mentioned the bank login experience I just had.

She lacked empathy as she said she was clear when she told me I had to go into a branch to resolve the issue.

Thanks for the help! My family and I are removing all accounts from this chain.

I hope in the future CS agents are trained to ASSIST they customers and be there as an advocate for them rather than cause more stress!

  1. If you have a loan with them BEWARE!!

If you are late on a payment they do not bill you for the late charge they take it out of the current payment they just received late making your car payment short. By the time you get your next statement and find out you were late on your payment send your next payment and charges in the previous payment they took late charge out of is now 30+ days deficient and a late pay on your credit.

  2. I would not recommend this bank to anyone.

I would not recommend this bank to anyone. As a independent business man, I’ve been with this Credit Union for three years, and longer as a regular customer. Joining to get away from the bohemeth national banks, my intent was to develop a relationship with a local bank that understood my needs and could help me with the revenue fluctuations my business has on occasion. With an excellent credit rating I tried unsuccessfully to get a line of credit from PSCU to sustain my business when clients paid slowly. After over twelve months, never received a word, yes or no.

  3. Bad Service Provide.

David Maus, the CEO of the 131,000-member, $1.1 billion Public Service Employees Credit Union in Denver, was paid more than $9.8 million for his work in 2010, according to the Form 990 for the year that the credit union filed with the Internal Revenue Service.

The form also indicated Maus received more than $1.2 million in additional compensation from related organizations, lifting his overall pay for the year to above $11 million.

This makes Maus significantly more highly compensated than the average chief executive at a credit union or bank of a similar size, according to the most recent survey by the firm Executive Compensation Solutions and a similar survey conducted by the American Bankers Association.

  5. Scammer

Going into the actual branch sites has usually been a fine experience for me, as long as it was cashing a check or getting a money order. Otherwise this business is truly terrible and I am definitely going to be cancelling my accounts here. Their phone service is a complete joke, nobody can help you with anything.

It will take transfer after transfer just to get an account balance because customer service is “not authorized” to do anything – or so they claim. I have had my account frozen on me multiple times for trivial details that make no sense.

For instance my card was declined at the store yesterday because that morning I had ordered a couple of things on Amazon (less than 100 dollars) and they froze my card and account in case of fraud.

  6. Bad Service Provide.

Customer responsiveness is awful!! Always seem to have computer issues when pulling accounts. Every call to get a simple answer is well over 25min. Best approach is to walk in grrrrrrr
