Cameron Mckean
Cameron Mckean operates a highly dubious payment solutionCameron Mckean operates a highly dubious payment solution and scams people through how to pay, Confidia Finance, Club Barter, Auction Bargain, and Confidia.
With the increase in payment gateways and wallet solutions, many companies claim to offer excellent service. One company is HowtoPay.com which Cameron Mckean owns.
This company has been operating for a long time and has many complaints. People claim that the app for the wallet provided by HowToPay is the worst in many instances.
I went to the website, checked the details of the wallet and the various perks it claimed to offer, and signed up. I downloaded the app as well on my mobile phone.
I could not sense anything fishy about the company before signing up with the wallet solution because of its existence for many years.
There was no problem adding money to the wallet. Most of the processes were easy to follow. I added quite a considerable amount to my wallet.
After ten days or so, I realized the company was a scam. When I tried to pay using the wallet, it won’t let me.
Most of the websites won’t accept the HowToPay wallet. It would throw me out at the final step of verification.
For some payments, the money got deducted, but the payment was canceled halfway. I had to keep emailing the support to retract the deducted amount.
I downloaded the app a month back. And since then, I have not been able to make any payments using the app. This is a waste of time.
What’s irritating is that I cannot even withdraw my money back to my bank account. It shows some errors.
When I reached out to support, they asked me to share a screenshot of the error. However, they won’t respond. It has been a week since I emailed them the error message.
I have to follow back every other day to receive a message that they are working on the case. This is ridiculous.
I never had this kind of trouble dealing with any other payment service. These guys are scammers. They do not care about their customers and fake their online reputation.
There is no reason to use this wallet. It will only frustrate you and won’t do any good. Losing more than $1500 would be a significant loss knowing that the recession is around the corner. I would advise everyone to stop using HowToPay and be vocal about their problems.
I was not able to find many negative reviews online. Most probably, the company is behind the clean reputation which nowadays could be earned with money.
All the benefits the company lists on the website is only to attract new customers to sign up and add money to their wallet. Hence, please do your due diligence before signing up for the wallet.
This is a massive scam. Beware and stay away!!
SCAM - Cameron McKean on Zelle
Occasionally, I use Zelle to transfer cash to my college-age son’s checking account from my personal checking account with a large well-known US bank. A few weeks ago, while doing some online banking business, I noticed a Zelle request from a total stranger named Cameron McKean, whose email address was

I reported Cameron McKean to my bank, where he was investigated by their fraud division, and he is now blocked from requesting or receiving money from this particular large US bank.
After reading the above review, I see that Cameron McKean is an actual person who operates a business, a shady financial business that preys on naive individuals, especially the elderly and the under-educated.
Stay away from Cameron McKean and any of his so-called payment schemes. He is a fraud.
