Bright Lending

Employees at Bright Lending Scam with Fake Promises

When I first reached out to the Bright lending office, I was greeted with great customer service. Everyone was eager to help. I wanted to borrow $500 and it was not a huge amount. I knew I would be able to pay the interest and principle amount in time. They told me that the interest is very nominal if I keep paying on time.

They promised that I would feel nothing when paying the amount back. I made sure all the paper work was done immediately which they forced me to do right away because of on going offer. I did not get time to check the company’s review and what other customers were saying about it.

The loan was approved for 5 months with the set installations I had to pay every month. So, I made sure that the payments were made on time. In the 5th month, I paid my last installation with extra $100.

I thought that the loan was completely paid. The next month, I did not do anything and in July, I received a reminder for paying the loan or facing the consequences. It was my final reminder and there was still $447 outstanding.

When I checked the mail, I called the customer care directly and asked what has been going on. The guy had no clue. I wanted to ask about the amount that was paid to the principle amount and the amount paid for the interest. He said that he had no option to check that information. However, he could tell that the outstanding amount was $447.

I asked if he could tell me the payments date when the instalments were made. He had no clue about that too. I tried to call the sales guy whom I talked to when visited the company. He was not answering my call.

I visited bright lending right away. The guy was busy wooing other customers. Looking at me, he asked me to wait for 5 minutes and came back after two hours. I was still there. He said that my payments weren’t on time and that was the reason I was charged more money as late fee.

I checked my payments that I had made through my bank account and every thing seemed in sync. To this, he said that I should talk to the bank as the payment never reached them. I called the customer service and they confirmed that the payments were made.

I complaints other employees for the same problem and no one seemed to have a solution to this. I was promised a $100 interest over a $500 loan. However, they were charging me $100 that I already paid plus $447. This was even more than my principle amount.

These guys are scammers. I have not paid the money and the case has gone to the collection team. I get calls every now and then and these people are disturbing me. The complaint is still open with bright lending and they are trying to sort things out, don’t know how much more time they would take.

  1. Scammer alert

I was approved for a $700 loan and after taking the loan these people informed me that I had to pay back 3,200. This is crazy that means that these people are charging over 300% on that loan that has to be illegal to do this. Somebody needs to shut them down

  4. A dark deal from Bright Lending

I took a loan out with bright lending for $550 which they deposited in my account. Months later I got a message that I owned them almost $1,200. they said I had agreed to pay them back that amount over several months. I think I would remember agreeing to such a large payback, but I don’t. I haven’t received anything I signed. I also believe that lenders, in the U.S., cannot charge that much interest, and I’m looking into it with UCCC Credit. These loan companies are such scammers. I’m not paying it back, and I’ll see what happens.

    1. Update

What is your update as far as you not paying tge rest of the loan back? What ever became of the situation if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in the same situation right now with them over a 2000 dollar lone they want 7,000 back on…I’m also curious if my bank can completely block them from pulling money from my checking …thank you if you take the time to write me back.

  7. I called 8/17/2020 to pay my loan in full 4 days before my due date and they said no penalty will happen but yet I’m paying $80 back in interest this is definitely a scam so ppl don’t deal with them there defrauding people

  8. This company should not be in business. I was approved for $600.00. I signed the loans documents and was told the money would be deposited into my account the next day. After waiting over a week and making 5 different phone calls to them I’m told they now need my personal bank information to access my account. I refused to give it to them so they told me my application would be pulled and denied.

I filled out an application with this company on Jan.22nd. I was approved and signed the documents. Money was supposed to be in my account the next day. After waiting 3 days I called back and was informed the money was deposited into the wrong account. They told me everything would be resolved and money would be in my account on Jan.30th. I called again today and this time I was told I had to provide my personal bank information. I refused since I didn’t have to do that when I took this loan out. The person I spoke with then said my application would be pulled and denied. Don’t do business with this company.
