Boulder Valley CPAS

Ernie does a great job of up selling his client services and makes you believe he and his staff are knowledgeable, receptive, prompt, and attentive – to which they are none.

Our last year filings could have been done better by some random person using Turbo Tax.

Not only did they wait til the last minute to give us any indication of our filing after giving them all docs by February of Last year.

They also filed so improperly that we had to hire a legitimate CPA firm to amend our filing after they were done butchering.

They never completed a review of our taxable situation as stated in our contract nor did they complete half of what was promised to boot.

Then charged an arm and a leg for a poor job done. It’s obvious Ernie can’t captain this boat and he’s on over his head.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have had two other friends fire BVCPA because of the same issues. STAY AWAY!

  1. Boulder Valley CPAs made two mistakes on my personal tax return.

Boulder Valley CPAs made two mistakes on my personal tax return. I received a letter from the IRS giving me 20 days to correct those mistakes. I forwarded the letter to Ernie, who said he would have a response within a week. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing from him. I sent him an email asking the status of his response. He didn’t respond. Sent him another email saying it was the IRS due date,

I was worried, and please respond. He didn’t. Two days after that I sent a more strongly worded email, to which I did get a response from Ernie. He blamed me for not knowing his firm’s schedule or staffing issues, and demanded that I apologize to him for my email–and if I didn’t he wouldn’t fix the error his firm created with the IRS. Although I thought my email was pretty mild, I did apologize for the tone, but never heard anything further from him again.

I had to call the IRS myself and file forms to fix the mistake. Fortunately it didn’t cost me any money, but did delay my refund by two months. Please beware of this firm–I was warned by someone else whose tax return they also screwed up, but didn’t listen because they seemed responsive and competent. Unfortunately, they are neither
