BetterHelp’s decisive tactics will rip you off

I looked at the offers that BetterHelp was providing and asked for their trail offer. They asked me my credit card information and I provided the details. The card information was required to proceed, so I had to fill that in to get access to the trail period.

As per the offer, their billing was made every week and they were offering one week of free services. I received a call from a counsellor, however, I wasn’t at home. I was not able to talk to her. She left message on my number and it sounded absurd.

So, I also did not try to contact her back and decided to cancel the services further. After a week, right after the 7th day, my credit card was charged for $100. This was not the way it was supposed to happen. As per the terms, I was required to talk to someone and confirm my further subscription with them.

However, no one tried to contact me after her and there was no proper communication made. I checked for the phone number on their website and tried to contact them. But, the phone never reached. I only got the message to call 911 in case of emergency or send email to their listed address.

I tried sending few emails and followed up with them. But, I never received any answer from them. They never responded. What I understood was that they were never looking to make any contact. All they wanted was my money.

Also, there was no option to cancel the subscription or I did not have the chance to find one. As, I was not able to contact them, I cancelled my credit card and got a new one. I knew that they would charge again.

Moreover, their website says that the weekly charges are $35. And, I was on the trial period which was free. Even if they had to charge, it should not have been anything more than $35. They charged me for more weeks when I did not accept any further deals with the company.

Isn’t that the shady way of doing business. These folks are scammers. They are involved in online fraud and would take away your money without your consent.

I have made a complaint on BBB and waiting for some resolution. I have never come across such fraud and I believe that I should talk to my attorney as well. If they can do this to me, they can do this to everyone else.

And, if this is their practice to earn money, they are in huge trouble. BetterHelp, if you are reading this, either take back what you did or bear the consequences. I am not going to stop here. This was a warning and I am going to take this to the court of law.

I am sure you people did this on purpose and for every crime, there is a law. So, wait for your turn, it just around the corner.

    Supposedly they were going to charge me only 48$ and ended up charging me $192!!! I’m so mad they have not gotten back to me. I had to cancel my debit card 🙁
    Please don’t go through better help!!!

    I have been a user of BetterHelp for six months now and think that it is an absolutely amazing service and company. They have helped me through many problems and are there any any time that you need your councillor. They offer a range of ways that you can contact your councillor so that you are comfortable talking to them. I would honestly recommend them to everyone that needs a councillor. Amazing Service. Amazing Company!

    I have had a similar experience, except I was charged a lot more. They are scamming people who are hurting. When I attempted to phone them, all I got was an answering service. Fake reviews, etc.

    This Article should rly reach more people..

    But more sad too see how Youtubers using betterhelp promo because of $$$ per Abo – winwinsituation with 0 care about the people with problems..

    And betterhelp itself isnt better, fake ratings, fake reviews, the youtube thing.. this should ring all bells how bad the company really is if u need things like this.

    Also the 7 Day trial joke..

    I rly rly hope the company will not last longer, my hopes at least for the people with problems looking for help.
