Too Busy Vacationing To Return Calls

BankSouth Mortgage Is Great place to go if you want to wait weeks upon weeks and never get an answer or any guidance because the staff and their underwriters are too busy vacationing to return calls or god forbid answer any questions.

We submitted everything for approval to the underwriter and after 3 weeks of waiting we still didn’t have an answer.

We also never got any response as to what we would need to do to get approved or what amount we could even be looking at.

I have never seen a mortgage broker so lackadaisical.

You are far better off going with a larger and more national company than a local one.

A national company would have access to several banks not just a small local one.

If I treated my customers like they do I would be out of business in no time!

    I totally agree with the post below- If I could give zero stars I would… “1 star” is way too much credit for this “company.” I fault myself for ignoring my initial contact with a representative from this mortgage company (M.S.) in which the broker was combative and rude. Instead of going with another provider,

    I decided it would be worth working with another employee (T.G) of this agency to avoid taking another hit on my credit score for a hard inquiry- wrong choice. The customer service was so poor with both of the brokers I encountered from this agency. I would LOVE to go into details (and post emails from these “professionals!”) of how terrible my experience with these women was,

    but I will spare you from what I unfortunately had to experience. With so many mortgage companies available for consumers to use, I cannot believe that the agents here believe it is acceptable to respond in rude manners to interested parties. Please do not waste your time with this agency. Take your business and money to a company that will treat you with the respect you deserve as a consumer

  2. Would suggest to them they use appraisers that know the area.

    They sent an appraiser to our property that who apparently had no knowledge of the lake area where our property is located. Used comps that were no where near the lake area or had nearly the land of ours, used comps of 1/4 acre lots compared to our 1.7 on the lake. Appraised our property $40,000 less than selling price. Would suggest to them they use appraisers that know the area.

    Friendly Staff, but the bucks stop there. Knowledge is power and all charges were inflated compared to other companies to include trying to charge me owner’s title insurance for 646.00 which I did not pay for a brand new house; needless to say I was charged 558.17 for lender’s title insurance for the brand new home.

    I’m now being charged 360.00 which I still think is outrageous, but better than the deal BankSouth made for me In addition, I was charged other fees once I arrived at closing that were never explained clearly. To this day, I regret using them. They even charged 20.00 for flood certification and I recently paid 5,00 for the same.

    Paid $425.00 (Novo Appraisal) for an appraisal that was never done because a previous one was used since it was less than 60 days & then charged an additional 100.00 for a Final Inspection Fee to the same (Novo Appraisal);

    still don’t understand that one since I paid for an independent inspection. I almost didn’t closed that day and regret that I did to this day. From personal experience with the one in the Atlanta area, I would not – repeat, would not recommend using them.
