Never Use Them Again
We used ASN Group for our 2018 taxes and will never use them again.
We provided Alex with all our information in mid-March and were assured that would be in plenty of time to meet the April deadline.
Less then week before the deadline, we’d heard nothing so followed up.
He said things were running behind and he would try to get the taxes filed on time.
We continued to reach out for updates. On the night taxes were due, we were finally told that he couldn’t meet the deadline and would file for an extension.
A month passes with no contact. So we follow-up and are promised the return by the end of the week.
A week passes with no contact. We follow-up. We review what he’s prepared, answer a few final questions, and all seems good and ready for filing.
Three weeks pass with no contact, no confirmation, nothing.
Finally, we start getting calls from his secretary trying to confirm our mailing address so they can mail us our return.
At this point, we were frustrated and not planning to use Alex again but not planning on writing a review.
Fast forward to today (12/19/2018). We receive a letter from ASN that they had been reconciling their books.
They discovered they had forgot to send us an invoice.
My wife and I have both run small businesses l, so understand how hectic it can be.
But we also can’t trust an accountant who doesn’t seem to have a handle on their own accounting on top of not being able to get returns filed on time.
