If I could give negative stars I would.

Use this place to find your desired pieces, then buy online. The salesman tried to offer us a significantly higher price in store than what Ashley’s website was offering. He was either being disingenuous or not aware of the best price available, both of which contribute to a negative sales experience typical to what this industry is notorious known for. We were interested in the Farouh memory foam sleeper sofa. On the website, it’s currently available for a low of $692 + $150 delivery and $40 tax ($885 total). When we asked the salesman for the price in the showroom, he first quoted us in the $1100 range, excluding tax and delivery. Then, when I brought up the website, he pulled out his mobile phone and put it in his cart and quoted us a price in the $800s, again excluding tax and delivery. Except he failed to add the extra 10% coupon code right on the homepage that brought it down to $692. Concerned that we were not being dealt with honestly, we asked to speak to a manager at that point to make him aware of the situation and seek clarification on what the true price of the sofa was in store. He was conveniently late to his shift. After waiting around 30+ mins, and having to ask to speak to him a second time before we were ready to just walk out, he finally came out and started talking out both sides of his mouth about what he could and could not do with pricing as a franchisee. In one breath he said he doesn’t have control over pricing because corporate sets the rate. However, in the very next sentence he pulled out his local flyer and told us he has the authority to decide what sale prices he wants to offer at this location. So which is it? He was noncommittal about meeting the website price (hesitated and said “let me see what I can do”) and definitely wasn’t willing to do better than the website price, which seemed counterintuitive if he really is a franchisee and competing against Ashley’s website as he claimed. Because we were so turned off by the slimy sales experience we were not about to give this place a sale or commission. I don’t think I would ever buy a piece from this store.

  1. Be very careful with Ashley furniture online store

    I bought a pair of bar stools for 450$ that were advertised as countertop stools. They came unassembled to my house. After the stools were put together I realized that they were a lot smaller than what was advertised so I called seeking a refund. I was told my best option would be to donate the furniture to a goodwill or Salvation Army, send them a picture of the donation slip with my name on it, then they can “work on my refund”. I NEVER heard of such a thing before. This was my first time buying from them and this will be my last time!! Very disappointed.

    Terrible experience. Ordered full living room and dining room furniture (over $3K) on May 7th – they said they were backed up and delivery would be mid to late June. Not ideal, but I understood. Every time I have called for an update they push the delivery date back. Now they say they can “maybe” deliver the rest of my furniture by August 10th. My family has been without for 3 months already. I tried to call the store to request a cancelation so I can get a refund and buy furniture somewhere else, and nobody ever answers the phone. I can’t believe how disappointing this experience has been. DO NOT spend your money here.

      We have bought furniture at Ashley’s for a number of years now and there unbeatable 5 years no interest was an amazing deal, now that being said my loveseat broke just before the 5 year term was up. So we called to see if they would fix it or give us another loveseat. Trying to get them on the phone was so horrible but they finally got back with us and we had to send pictures and the sales receipt not once but 3 times. When they finally got back with us they could not fix it and our furniture was discontinued. They called to let us know they would give us credit in the store for the amount we paid for the loveseat (which had a deadline to purchase something else). We went to the store and the salesman Jay was very pushy and said had to buy another couch, I did not find anything in the store that came close to what I already have, so we thought we would buy a piece of furniture to go with what we have (the furniture I have is in excellent condition) but we were told no you have to buy another loveseat. This was not what I expected from Ashley’s. So now we have been waiting for the new furniture for over 2 months after we were told it would be in the distribution center in 10 days, well 10 days has turned into over 2 months. Trying to talk to the store has been a horrible experience because you can’t speak with the store, we had to go through the call center many times with no answers to our problem. This has been very frustrating and stressful now we are just angry. Very Sad but this will be the last purchase through Ashleys Home store for us.

    Let me start off by saying the customer service number online does not work for an order placed in the store. And the agents in the store are not the ones that are willing to help you after taking your money.

    I bought a bedroom set and a living room set from Ashley Furniture (this one) in April. The contract says that there is a 2 month window for your items to arrive before you can ask for a refund. My items arrived in June. I was not looking to ask for a refund but to get my order corrected.

    The sales agent promised to send me an ottoman that matched with the living room set. Then when the order came in (in June) it was a different one. I rejected that delivery as he said over the phone. I then went to the store to find out why. Apparently they never had that ottoman, the salesman had tricked me to make a sale.

    I then said okay, send me one of a different size (which they had) and they agreed. I was supposed to receive the delivery in a week, which did not show up. I called back and the salesman wanted me back in the store to create this order. I went back and the deal was made again, but after waiting 2 weeks, no ottoman.

    Now when called, he wants me back, this time to sign to make the order official. The store is in a different city from where I live and I have been asked make 3 round trips to the store where I have not received my ottoman in 3 months.

    Every time you call then, they have an excuse, if I am to cancel, I still need to go to the store. This has created a lot of stress and hassle in the furniture buying process for me. I still have 2 more bedrooms to furnish in my house and I am not going back. The salesman simply cheated me and the store manager is just as irresponsive.

    After spending thousands in this store, I cannot get even the basic customer service that I need. I am without my furniture for 3 months after paying full price, I am continuously required to be at the store multiple times without any leads and my life has been full of hassles after buying furniture from here
