Anthony Chara

Anthony’s workshop is a bait for gullible real estate agents

By no means I would like to ruin the reputation of a legitimate person. And, Anthony Chara is not one of them. I got an invitation link on my email id for joining the one day workshop of Anthony Chara. I had just started to work as a real estate agent and I was already looking for some kind of course to explore the nuances of this domain.

When I saw the link and checked the online review which now I realize was all fake, I right away clicked on the link. Before making any further delay, I paid for the workshop online and I was allowed to bring one more person with me. That looked nothing less than a lottery.

I convinced my partner to join me and we decided to split the money among two of us.
At first, my partner wasn’t ready as he was not sure if the workshop had anything better to offer. But, after I insisted, he agreed. He said that he would only pay me if the workshop was worthy of his time.

We reached at the venue. I was excited as I was a fresher. We were offered seats. There were not many people attending the workshop. Anthony Chara, who calls himself an expert and advertises himself as someone with huge knowledge of apartments and real estate investing, seemed nothing but a scammer.

We paid such a huge amount and at the end of the day, we got nothing to learn. The workshop was very general, and it seemed more of a marketing stunt rather than a knowledge sharing session. We were already working as realtors and knew the terms associated with the field. What we wanted to know was the ways to convert profits into decent living. But, that was missing.

The workshop introduced us to the basics and did not provide anything vital. At the end of the session, I approached someone from their team and asked for the process for getting a refund. I was mocked. He laughed at me and patted my back. He asked me to request a refund via email. I was offended by his laughter. But, I still did as he asked me to do.

I did not get any reply of the email. I tried to send it more than thrice. When there was no reply, I connected through the phone. My partner also never paid me. And, why would he. He was an experienced agent and knew much more than the workshop offered.

I kept calling them and emailing them, but they never replied other than the automated replies. I am tired of calling them. I have tried to team up with other people who were scammed and plan to file a lawsuit against them.

Anthony Chara is a scammer. He is a parasite and feeds on other’s money. Now I know why the workshop had very few attendees. He should be charged of fraud. He is trying to mislead people into paying for worthless workshops. He is a fraud and nothing more than that.

  1. Not a legit complaint.

I’m a very experienced real estate investor, though mostly in single family homes. I took both Anthony’s one day and 4-day workshops, and they were both amazing. A ton of actual, detailed information, lots of digging into the numbers, attendees brought potential deals and Anthony analyzed them in front of the room, showing where the holes were in the seller/broker information, how to fill them, and what to offer.

I’m not easily impressed by real estate education, but these classes were in the top 10 of the probably hundreds I’ve attended.

The review here isn’t legit; for one thing, I did a google search on one day workshops Anthony has given in the past 10 years and couldn’t find one that was over $100. Second, I NEVER take a real estate course that doesn’t have a money-back guarantee–burned too often–and the $1500 4-day absolutely did. Third, the idea that Anthony would either pat someone on the back or laugh in their face is laughable.

Either this guy didn’t actually meet Anthony Chara, or he’s trying to hold him up for money to remove or modify this review.

  2. I am Anthony Chara

This information is not accurate at all. I have NEVER charged $1500 for a 1-Day Workshop. My 1-Day Workshop IS only a basic intro to Apartment Investing to understand the terminology and how to analyze the numbers to determine value. The cost for the WS will range from Free to around $99 depending on which Real Estate Investor group has asked me to come in and present. The RE Group sets the pricing.

At the WS I do offer a Home Study Course and a 4-Day Boot Camp package. Depending on the WS, I have offered the package for around $1500, but most of the time that also includes 2 persons. So each person would get my HSC and a seat at one of my 4-Day BC’s. That’s less than $750 per person. This price also includes an 8-Week follow up coaching program after the 4-Day BC. There is no better value out and I stand by my training.

This person did not ask me for a refund and I don’t have a ‘staff’ for them to talk to. The local RE club takes care of the staffing. It could have been someone from the RE club that laughed at this person if it really happened at all. My name and info is written on this report so no one should have an issue reaching me. What RE Group invited you to my WS? What was the date of the WS?

Anonymous, please feel free to call or email me to discuss this situation. I have not received any emails or phone calls from you as you stated above. I take unsatisfied customers very seriously. I’ve taught thousands of people about investing in Apartment Complexes since 2006 and only 3 people have ever asked for a refund. 1 from my 1-Day WS’s and 2 from my 4-Day BC’s OUT OF THOUSANDS of people. One of the refund requests from my 4-Day BC was because I gave the person too much information. Yes, you heard that correctly. He wanted his money back because I gave him more info than what he was used to getting from other people’s classes and he felt overwhelmed.
