Anderson Tax Service was where I thought I would go to find an accountant who would help me manage my taxes and find deductions.
H&R Block had done my taxes for years, and I then did my taxes using TurboTax the three years before going to Anderson Tax Service.
My accountant mistook us for $8k and claimed we owed the state of California.
She marked us as full-year residents, even though she knew we had moved to California mid-year.
This is why I decided to sell my boat to pay my CA tax bill.
One day after I sold my boat, I received a call stating that she had misunderstood me and owed $200 as a partial-year CA resident.
Whoops! It was a mistake!
TurboTax helped me manage my taxes better.

5 Reviews on Anderson Tax Service
Why is his picture on the site if he is retired?
I see that they have removed my comment or, at the very least, hid it in a filtered list. This is because my review was not genuine. Jim did my taxes for years, and he claimed he was on sick leave and would be available for my appointment.
I found out that he was retired. They should have informed me about this before leading my mind to believe I had an appointment to see Jim. Deceptive! It’s deceptive!
Overall amazing service.
It is fast, friendly, affordable. Amazing service all around.
Anderson’s Tax has been my go-to for many years. I always get a refund. However, my tax guy fell asleep during my last two visits during my tax time visit.
Last time, I had to pay slightly more than $2000 in taxes. My bill for my taxes was $250. I now have to find $2,250.00.
unusual being that he doesn't work there anymore.
It was unfortunate to see Jim Anderson retire. He did my taxes for many decades, and I was not informed he had withdrawn. His photo is still on your website, which is unusual considering he no longer works there. I wish they were more open with me.
Bunch of liars.
Kang bought Anderson Tax Service and lied to clients about it. They also made appointments with preparers who weren’t working at the service anymore—a bunch of liars. Great place to go if you’re looking for a bunch of liars.
