Aegis Medical Centre 568 Whitmore Way, Basildon, Essex, SS14 2ER, 01268 532795. It always takes 30+ mins to wait to get through; they have done this for years. I have never used to be like this and have attended this practice for 40 years.
I booked to see the doctor, had to fight to get caught, and finally, an actual psychical appointment. When I showed up, the receptionist said it was a telephone appointment when I requested a face-to-face meeting. Again I had to fight to get seen.
Then I realized why I had to wait30 minutes for them to pick up the phones. As I waited to see the doctor, I could hear the phones ringing while four receptionists(yes,4 of them) spoke about weekend activities.
Shameful service.
Finally got to see the doctor; he never looks at you and mumbles, speaking to you while typing like an older man, one key at a time, five words per min type level. Where we got these from, I don’t know.
I mean, what on earth is going on? I couldn’t hear a word he was saying. Second, guessing what my symptoms could be rather than taking the time to ask me fundamental questions to assess what they might be. You can forget physical checks.
I have to fight to get referred to a specialist. Otherwise, I would be sent home with more painkillers. Don’t get me started on that one, seems to be a pharmacy commission practice than care & treatment.
Even then, between the doctor and receptionist, getting my referral application done took several amendments.
Crazy that any business/practice is allowed to function like this. I would love to accept this is very serious.
They are seriously playing with people’s lives.

I had several years of lousy health and endless pain, yet it was all cured by the attention of another doctor. Both were terrible doctors – they never helped me. I had to move to another practice to get treated – shameless duty of care.
Someone will die due to the lack of attention. Practice nurse Sandra Lava said you could leave if you don’t like it. I pray that all these staff get fired and removed from general care duties.

Been calling from 8am for days
They ask to call at 8am, can’t pre book appointments even for the following week. Only option is to call at 8am but they don’t answer.
When I finally got my appointment I went and sat in reception waiting 45 mins to see the doctor so he was running 45 mins late?
In the 45 mins of waiting I called the receptionist and waiting for them to pick up.
I watched for 45 mins them just sitting and talking to each other.
If I ran my business like this I would go out of business.
We the public owe it to ourselves to make them accountable for providing a service we pay for.

4th day of calling from 8am - no result
Receptionist not picking up again – 4 days of trying from 8am? WTF
Receptionist never answer the phones?
I spend 4 days calling from 8am, waiting over 1 hour and never getting through only to be told try again tomorrow.
Finally got a physical appointment. Interesting that when I was there I called reception whilst waiting to be seen and again had to wait 20 mins before they picked up.
I watched 4 receptionist chatting whilst I was waiting.
Try yourself, I find it interesting. Perhaps they are cutting costs.
